I doubt Phoenix was doing Shumpert for Dragic even if they like Shumpert.

Not straight up but after the aquired Bledsoe we could've MAYBE done, Felton (good playoff series) + Shump (sins had interest) + fillers + Picks for Dragic + fillers before we pulled the trigger on Bargs.

how about arguably the teams biggest weakness, defending opposing pg's?

felton can't do it to save his life, lowry can.

I take it you haven't seen Lowry play defense the past few years. Take it from someone who has watched him a lot, his D has regressed badly. He gambles a lot and just plays inconsistently. Another big weakness is ball movement, and Lowry is really bad in the PnR compared to other PGs.

He's a great defender and he became a very good offensive player too. Melo would hardly get double teamed because Aaron would make them pay each time.

The Magic do this trade why?

They wouldn't. I bolded that it won't happen.

I apologize, I actually meant to respond to the person you quoted.

Or perhaps a new coach?

I'm not saying Woodson is to blame for all of his struggles, but it seems silly to give up on a guy completely when he is playing for a guy that is a lame duck at this point anyway.

He plays 30 minutes a game. It's shump's own fault he isnt playing well. Just look at the difference between the Nets and Magic games versus the last two. He's too inconsistent

Coming from a guy who says he's almost never wrong. Gotcha.

Am I lying? You tell me, Basketball God.

I say the facts and I'm usually proven right. You insult people like me and are always proven wrong. Who is the one who is being arrogant here? The instigator or someone like me speaking the truth? Don't disappear again when you're wrong about Lowry.

Dude, I just pointed out two different times when you're wrong, and that's insulting the al mighty Mr. Perfect? Keep doing Perfectplexes in the after life, bro. You're done here.

It makes sense though. Shumpert has a serious injury history, has not advanced his play, and is closer to coming off his rookie deal than THJR.

so it makes trading a guy who's nearing his rookie deal for a guy who's expiring?

that's not stupid.

At a position of severe need? It's not stupid.

That would have been a good time to do it, but unrealistic because the Knicks as an organization would still be satisfied with their PG play because of Feltion's good series vs Boston.

If we trade for Lowry giving up a guy like Shump or THjr, then that tells me the 2015 plan isn't really a priority for us. I think we're going to go the Nets/Knicks route of rebuilding by trading expiring contracts and/or picks for long-term deals for players other teams no longer want. I'm not saying such a practice *can't* work... just that it hasn't worked all that well yet for too many teams, especially the Knicks.

I think we're going to get Lowry and re-sign him. Then we're going to trade Amare's contract next season for a long-term deal. And we'll re-sign Chandler and 'Melo.

I think 2015 (Rondo or Love or Gasol) is a pipe-dream to be honest.

Anyone who suggesting a pick swap or the moving of anymore picks needs to go jump off a bridge.
