Melo is gone.
that would assume this organization would make a smart move. Seeing we just gave THjr that contract...that suggests we aren't a smart organization...

Melo LOVED THjr and posted a tribute to him on Instagram right after he was traded. THjr was also one of the few teammates who had the balls to get in Melo's face and call him out.
THjr is a MUCH better player now than he was his first two seasons as a Knicks. He has more grit than JR and Shump, and might have a more refined game than both guys.
Mills probably never wanted to get trade him, but Phil was probably obsessed with getting Horace Grant's nephew to run the triangle, so the trade had to be done at the time.

All of the possible flexibility over the next 3-4 years is completely gone. Any chance to land a top FA to try to pair with KP in the near future was just completely destroyed.
For THJ.
Enough of this.
Idk why this is so hard for some people in here to understand. We're tying up 18 million to a person who deserves nothing near 18 million. He's NOT a star player in the slightest and he's getting a player option. Just shoooooooooot me!
Star players receive double.
You guys don't seem to grasp this money thing. Timmy isn't old or hurt. He's entering his prime. The contract isn't that damn bad.

NBA is a offensive league now. You accumulate shooters and hope they stay hot. Timmy is a shooter

Tank will be strong for the next four years for sure. Let's just hope that idiotic management does not start giving up picks.
