Of course Mills doesn't show up. The front office hiding and dodging questions as usual.

But that's not likely to happen officially or numerically, in volume. So if he could improve his 3 ball to 37% territory, then you can see him becoming a pretty efficient all-around scorer.

If we're talking strictly about offensive efficiency, here's a comp looking at games played after the new year.

Usage will definitely see a bump, let's see what he does with it. If he can get up to 5-6 free throws a game with knick refs this could turn out very well

So how are they going to spin Timmy's comments. "Newest knick wants Melo to stay, knicks dysfunction continues"

Edit: lmao I just got the bleacher report notification. Knicks are such easy targets for controversy.

Right? What do you really expect him to say? "Oh, I don't want Melo here!"

He shouldn't say he was surprised the Knicks wanted him lol. Just feeds the narrative of this being out of the blue.

I remember Hornacek said that he was surprised when Phil wanted to interview him -- honesty is good but I felt that was weird too.

I mean, what is Timmy going to say? even if he put it nicely he would sound like an ass...

"No, I want Melo to go somewhere else."

"No, Melo doesn't fit this team."

Or if he was blunt

"No, man, he's old, and slow, and can't defend, and ruins the flow of the team - I want him far far away!"

Melo makes excellent pies or something? The way people stick up for the man is hilarious.
