Teodisic is too good though.

he's good enough to develop our guys. i don't think he's good enough to ruin a tank.

That was a pipe dream. Teodosić would not sign contract with us. He wanted to be part of competitive team.

last i recall, his sole requirement in signing with a team was being an important part of said team. a starting Job and plenty of minutes. we could have offered that much.

Frank needs to play PG. Make him a 2 guard and you dilute his value.

i didn't say anything about playing two-guard. frank would have been his mentee.

Even after some trades that upgraded the offense, in terms of overall scoring, the think the Knicks lack is enough players that can actually shoot and score.

Trey Burke adds to that. He's nothing special, he's not worth where he was drafted, but he can shoot and score and bring the ball upcourt, and he's young.

Another indication the Knicks are not digging Sessions.

I see Burke winding up as backup PG, Jack on the team in some capacity (like asst coach or PG consultant or whatever the f*ck) and Session cut. Maybe as soon as a few days, definitely no later than mid season.

Can't draft a PG at #8 and make him a 15-20 MPG backup for 2 years on a rebuilding/tank team

And 3 of the 4 other teams who drafted 19 year old PGs in this past draft will be starting theirs in a few days.

I get that.

But he's 19 now and played in a pro league. I say start him. I especially say start him when I watch Sessionheimers (it's the disease PG's get when they get old and forget how to play like a PG)

Well, I could see Sessions getting like 10 early season starts to massage his vet ego and let him get destroyed by opposing team's PG's for a bit while Frank gets him NBA feet under him. Would still leave plenty of time for Frank as a starter.

I don't think Sessions is even on the team past Christmas. In fact, Christmas might even come early.

What was the point of signing him? Was this a "hey well give you some more money if you play with our G League team" move? Are they planning to sign him to a 2 way contract? Will the Yankees be able to bounce back in game 2?

This is usually what they do with a top player that they sign to the GLeague. You give him an extra check to make sure he'll play w your G League team.

I really don't see the point and I had a post somewhere about what exactly is it with the Knicks and the mesh between scouting of players, both on their team (Dotson) and guys they might want to pick up (Sessions and Jack).

My opinion on it is mash of every opinion, I guess. I think they have an extra slot for the Noah suspension. They either give all of that Jack, and he provides the training to Frank that I think that they think Sessions isn't capable of. Or, maybe 3/4's of it and they waive him and Burke fills the 16th spot for 4 games.

Noah gets activated, Jack is absolutely cut. Burke either goes to the G League again for a bit or the Knicks get wise and cut bait with Sessions right then, and go with Burke as the backup PG. Burke = SG in PG body, not the greatest mind for PG, I guess? Sessions = SG in PG body (from what I've seen of preseason) plus he's old. I can't imagine they love Session's "mentoring" when they give Jack every chance to make the team. I think they jettison Sessions and replace him with his younger self, Burke. Might take 20 games into the season. Maybe less.

I would, I doubt the team will until after some NBA games are under his belt.

He's 19 and we're rebuilding. The whole part of tanking and rebuilding is letting players develop with PT

so he's a year older. what an astronomical difference. also, players don't develop strickly just because they're given playing time.
