nice

Did you predict the crash or was it just good timing?

Few things
- dogecoin was a tell for me. A meme coin with no purpose rose to a 2 billion dollar market cap? :-? Fishy.
- didn't think the surging was sustainable. ETH getting to 1400 was what made me think that it was time to sell. Rose WAY too quickly.
- figured a crash was coming with all of the news out of China and SK.
- wanted to cash out before there was a crash because of the initial gain I had.
- gut feeling that something was off. This one was literally based on nothing besides my gut, but it ended up serving me well.
- I either read or watched on youtube from one of the guys I follow (?) that there was likely going to be, at least, a mini dip/correction, what have you.

My selling was why I stopped posting in here. Was still following, but had little to offer so just stayed on the sidelines.

This time around, I'm staying out of DENT (as of now, at least).

good thinking

dent is irritating. i'm just waiting for it to return to where I can break even and selling. i didnt put much into it but it locked up funds that i couldve used to buy cheap platform coins during the crash. i think it could hit 1.5 billion mc when the android app is released but until around that time im not going to strengthen my position on it, if i do at all

When you see the market at the top of unsustainable growth, you move back to bitcoin. When bitcoin swangs d*ck and lets everyone know they still are the king, you take up some alt positions. Bitcoin correcting and taking the whole market with it is all the proof you need that BTC is the king of the market.

At the end of the day, when investing in alts make sure you are making SATOSHIS on your investments not USD. The only time you worry about USD is when you are cashing out. This little pop and rebound was a great opportunity to make satoshis , hope some of yall did.

One dumb question I have..

How are you guys tracking your portfolio? I'm still unaware of where to find my trades/purchase history, how much I received and at what cost. I wanna throw it in the blockfolio app, but I don't have that information. Any help?

Tried blockfolio and wasn't a fan. I use Delta. You can mark the day / time of purchase, exchange used, coin used to purchase, and how much and at what price of the coin used to purchase. You can also have a "watch list" on top of the portfolio and get alerts for either. Big fan of it. From what I can tell, it appears to be pretty damn accurate with the accounting of profits / losses, too. Big fan of the Delta app.

Good looks my guy, I'm on Delta now. Appreciate it.

But the question I have is more towards myself having an Ethereum balance on Binance. Do you have to use your balance to re-invest in it? Or is there simply a way to check your transaction history of Ethereum? For me, it only shows my trade history.

Good looks bro.

I'm confused what you're asking. You mean checking if the price went up or down?

Exactly. If you traded some of your stock in it, how do you check your portfolio and if it went up/down from purchase?

I’ve been using Delta for that (kinda). When you make a trade, you can deduct it from your Eth holdings and if you trade Eth multiple times, the multiple transactions show in Delta - you should be able to see gain / loss each time.

In Binance there is trade history, too.

Agree with how the alt coin and bitcoin markets are tied but why would you move back to bitcoin? you'll still be taking mainly losses. why not just move to something like USD tether?

or is USD tether too sketchy?

I use bittrex mostly so Tether not available to me. Tether is super, super sketchy. But as long as it keeps being valued , how its supposed to no reason to not pop in and out of it to make trades easy. But Tether is the last currency Id like to be in during pops/crashes/corrections. It's going down (imo) at some point and its going to go down hard. But like I said if you can use it for convenience on smaller trades, go for it. Dont use it as any type of safety net because you could get burned hard. Not saying its a scam like others say but not saying its not a scam.

I prefer be in BTC at moments like we just had. Personally, I'm in it for long-term, BTC's cash value is irrelevant to me to a certain degree right now. I'm trying to get as much BTC as I can which will then turn to USD eventually. Your portfolio isnt growing if your satoshis arent growing.

If youre spread all over the place during crashes, you cant take advantage of market lows. Lets say you had most of your BTC holdings spread across alts....XLM,XRP,NEO, FUN, VTC, ARK, etc, etc. When the market goes down, you cant take advantage of the lows because everything you have is down and youll be selling for a loss or lose out on a bunch of gains. As you have seen most alts rebounded nicely.

What you want to do, and it is muchhh easier said than done is when the market is at crazy highs and everyone and their mother knows it.... trade that XLM,XRP,NEO, FUN, VTC, ARK, etc, etc, back to BTC. Market crashes...buy back into aforementioned currencies at lows....market rebounds and youre up. Rinse and repeat and youll be seeing not only dollar gains but BTC gains as well.

Look into this as well. some of these coins are longterm(xrp) and I would not keep them on an exchange for extended periods of times. If something happens to it, you are ****. As long as an exchange holds your coins. They have more ownership of it that you do on the low. Hardware Wallets are the most secure. Amazon just ran out of these, they are considered the best, and they won't be in stock until March 31st. I dont keep my XRP on binance.

This wallet is approved by Ripple and you can store them in the meantime if you ever choose to.. Make sure you follow the instructions carefully and dont lose your ripple sending them there. If you follow the instructions its very seamless.

Just use Gatehub for a XRP wallet and nothing else I should add if you do choose to use it. You can buy ETH BTC XRP on it, but I would advise against it. Buy the ripple on Binance and send it there is what I do. XRP is practically free damn near when sending across the net work. It does not have the larger fees that BTC ETH can have when sending off of Binnace.
