Why not I think the only real threat to take him would be the lakers

Can’t really see the cavs taking him

My thinking is that the Lakers will end up either a)selecting him for somebody else, b) taking him because hes the best asset at 4 to be used in a trade over the summer?

Yeah that makes sense as well

Ja and RJ met with the top three teams but Zion’s only met with the Grizz and the pels?☹️

I agree or send both Dallas picks or next years pick (lottery protected)and keep Frank. If that is not enough they can kick rocks.

Irving/Frank
Dotson/IsoZo
KD/Herzonia
Davis/Thomas
Robinson/Kornet

i think we'd have to waive zo in this cap scenario... or at best, dotson. i'm confident we couldn't keep both.

i played that knicks wall game a LOT.

thanks for everything, thibs.

Maybe it's just a feel but they were scouting at Duke a lot.

RJ has a lot of characteristics our front office seem to like. Seems to have great pedigree and work ethic as well.

Has the mentality of a first option player as well.

I wanted him in BAF. Probably has a floor of Tyreke but maybe that's his most likely outcome? I think his shooting will sort itself out but decision making will be his biggest hurdle towards greatness.

to his credit, duke was able to share the ball. he seems to get that. it might have been just saying the right thing, but he seems to relish the pass.

his measurements from a year ago:

Not sure how the measurements really back up your point here...Those are perfectly fine measurements for an NBA level wing. They're actually almost identical to Derozan's when he came out and he was 2 years older than RJ at the time these measurements were taken I believe. It's also very possible that RJ has grown since those measurements were taken.

If there's one thing you can't knock RJ for it's his physical stature. Dude has a great frame and will have the ability to put on plenty of healthy weight to an already strong body.

A very short pointed question.

Can anyone tell me how much cap space the Knicks would have in 2020 if they signed KD & KI to near max deals. Basically would NY have anywhere close to a max slot in 2020 (for Davis)?

Any ideas on 2nd rounders or undrafted free agents? I line Brian Bowen. Think he is worth a gamble.

wasn't making that argument with the measurement, just that he didn't get measured so i put in the information and i didn't want to double post.

would be nice to have athletic measurements for RJ though.

Knicks should draft the guy that sucks at shooting, sucks at free throws, and sucks on defense

All good. the way the post was formatted it seemed like that's what you were using as part of the evidence for your ceiling point.

Thanks for the clarification

He may not be the best fit at the moment, but we should take the BPA here if we keep the pick

Could also play him as 6th man ala OKC Harden

this is what I would do. at this point to me dot is our starting 2 guard. we would need another vet 2 and shooting forward though.
