How? How did you miss that part, but still think you are good to post in the thread? How can you do that? Did you internet-seek to see if you could find anything about the Spike appearance? Watch video of his appearance? Did you read the thread?

Come on.

being a lawyer sucks.

Yeah - I guess it must. You throw shade whilst purposefully maintaining a veil of the most gossamer-white ignorance. For a living.

Sucks to be you.

But it will all be over soon.

Spoiler:
Spike claimed he had not shaken hands with Dolan at the half. Photos revealed he had.

Speculation: The presumption is that they talked briefly prior to/during the handshake and at that point had an at least somewhat diffused situation.

If you really want to follow/get the details of the - in my view - extraordinarily uninteresting saga there is a wealth of information out there.

Why on earth would you start lawyering without looking for it? O..wai..

Of course. Media hacks think it correlates to Spike staying home. The hits keep on coming

This team will never be good with Dolan as the owner. At this point I welcome every negative media story about Dolan, I tried in the past to think he will change and make the right moves and do what is best for the team, but I'm done with that ****. I'll watch and still love the team, but personal expectation's of being a title contender with that buffoon in charge will never exist for me. Knicks actually winning the chip with Dolan.....I'll believe when I see it, just like when pig flies.

Knicks fan says he was interrogated and threatened with arrest for chanting 'Sell the Team’

A Knicks fan who chanted ‘Sell the Team’ with his friends Wednesday said he was “interrogated” by security for 15 minutes before leaving Madison Garden following the Knicks loss to the Jazz.

The fan, who wanted to be called ‘John from Long Island,’ posted a video on Twitter of him and at least three friends being surrounded by six security guards and one police officer near the MSG elevator.

John said a security guard threatened them with arrest but they are allowed back at the Garden. Moments earlier — as the Knicks were in the final minutes of their 112-104 defeat — the group started chanting, ‘Sell the Team,’ and it was briefly picked up by other fans. They were leaving when they began to yell — a smart tactic since that can prompt an ejection at MSG — and a security guard quickly approached them to make sure they left.

John then posted a picture outside the Garden with four friends and the caption, “Escorted out of Spike’s entrance.” It was a reference to the employee entrance Spike Lee was banned from using.

An MSG spokesman said the fans were neither ejected nor escorted from the arena. Earlier this season, owner James Dolan appeared to order security to eject a teenage fan as the entire arena erupted in a ‘Sell the Team’ chant.

And on Tuesday, Knicks superman Spike Lee said he was boycotting the remainder of the season because of his treatment at MSG.

“I’m being harassed by James Dolan,” Lee said on ESPN’s First Take.

Anybody else on here getting a feeling Spike set this whole thing up in order for him to have an excuse to go on first take and talk **** about Dolan which would then escalate to Oakley wanting the NBA to investigate Dolan? I know it's conspiracy talk but this whole really uninteresting story is geting big press lol..I mean there is an VIP entrance and if what the Knicks statment that was released was true i have a hard time not putting a lot of blame on Spike even though the statement was in poor taste.

A cool owner would give Spike his cell phone number and tell him if he ever had any problems at MSG to text or call him immediately. Dolan and his ties to CAA should be trying to work with Spike ... maybe make an award-winning documentary on the Knicks. Players around the league see this and it doesn't make for a comfortable working environment.

If Spike overreacted, that's collateral to what's significant about this event which appears to occur all too often at MSG.

And yet again I'm unimpressed by justifying boorish behavior using a by any means necessary justification

What's "boorish" about attempting to peacefully enter MSG to go watch the game like he has for the past 25 years?

Peacefully?

The man was asked to step out of the elevator and use a different exit by a regular security guard just doing what he's been told to as a single policy. It may have been difficult for the security guard to even do this since he's probably one of he old-timers at MSG.

But Mr. Lee, acted all boorish and said NO like he owns something. THEN went on to place his hands behind his back and said to arrest him, trying to instigate a bigger problem playing the black/white victimization card. Which to me somewhat discredits the significance of his own films and meaning behind them. It was poor taste and what many would look as "see what I mean" type view-point. You understand I'm quite sure.

Please don't make Spike into some sort of a martyr, because he behaved like a dickk and over the top.
Showing restraint and asking for a personal audience with Dolan would have been the more mature thing to do. BTW, Dolan as owner, did not have to publically walk over to Spike to clear the air. No CEO does that.

Let me ask you Bro, if you were supposedly "embarrassed" at Wholefoods would you shop at the same store again.
In the same light, will Spike give up his seat at the garden and NEVER attend another game until Dolan sells the team? HAHAHA, he's faking all this humility my Dude.

Spike Lee will be on First Take this morning to discuss incident last night

Defend Dolan all y’all want but the fact remains that this wouldn’t have happened to no other “Superfan” for no other franchise. How is Spike entitled when he pays his money to sit court side every game for 28 years? You would think Dolan would slip him some free tickets or something for his trouble as a customer. It just goes to show that he doesn’t care about spike because he knows someone else will be there to take his place. Whether spike overreacted or not, act like you care about the person who supported this piece of **** team for years. If you defend Dolan in this case your clearly missing the point.

You're mixing up Spike's response to the actions of the security officers towards him with what his state of mind was before those action of the officers. Prior to that, Spike thought he was peacefully on his way to his seat.

if you were already told NOT to use that entrance and use the VIP.....then yeah, his entire act was boorish & disingenuous.

 i love it. It's come full circle. And we also have Chris Childs saying that the only reason Spreewell, Bernard King, and Larry Johnson are sitting next to Dolan is because he pays them to. Whew.

Now, let's join former Knick Charles Oakely for his analysis on the psychoses of James Dolan. This is great. What a world.
