If there is a LEGEND who would be most proud of Brunson is KOBE (RIP). Blessings.

Their offense is a well oiled machine so if we are able to slow them down that would say a lot about how far our defense has come. They are probably a better offensive team than Boston. They will be the toughest matchup because they have so many different weapons but defensively they might be the weakest matchup so we should be able to get our offense going too.

Look at who they've played, the best perimeter defender they've seen so far is Dean Wade or Max Struss

It's easy to look like a well oiled machine when you're playing injured teams. A healthy Boston team had a better ORTG then them on the seaso, and a better ORTG while playing a better defensive team in the Magic in the first round.

Their offense is more balanced than Boston so they are harder to defend. Boston only spams 3 pointers so they will shoot themselves out of games as we’ve seen. Indiana moves the ball well and has a balanced inside out attack. I doubt we can keep them under 100 three times like with Boston

We won't have to. The Pacers bring pesky defense but they don't have the wings or bigs to shutdown the paint like Detroit or Boston.

The offensive rebounding of MitchRob is going to create a problem for the Pacers' fastbreak.

Hopefully Payne can be re-incorporated, he should be able to do something against Indiana.

I didn't say they were relying solely on scoring in transition, just that they push the pace. Last year we controlled the pace against them in the 7 game series, the scores were high just because neither team could get stops. But, with our full roster I would expect us to control the pace again, and this time with Mitch & healthy Hart as well I'd expect some of their pace to be hurt by the fact they will have to gang rebound. They have depth, but some of that depth is just poor defenders like Bryant, McConnell and Obi, and if Obi is leaking out when Mitch, KAT and Hart are on the floor at the same time they're going to get obliterated on the glass. I just see a fast pace team that doesn't rebound well and doesn't have any singular great defensive player or elite offensive scorer. The Celtics to me were better.

Celtics frontcourt was weak. KP was dealing with the illness and even got pulled from the starting lineup and didn’t play much. He wasn’t a factor due to the illness. Horford finally showed signs of aging and wasn’t much of a factor either. They were relying on Luke Kornet

Pacers front court is much better and they dominated two teams who have much better interior defense than we do in Milwaukee and Cleveland.

We should be able to score on them much better as they aren’t as good or as physical as the other teams we’ve played. Offensively we can match them and defensively we should be better so I do expect us to win the series

The Celtics frontcourt includes Tatum, and the 4 games he played means they were better than the Pacers. I mean seriously, Siakam and Tatum are averaging 12 rebounds per game between them, and Max Struss averaged almost 3 offensive rebounds per game. They may be good offensively but they are going to give up rebounds, it's an inherently soft frontline especially when you consider Obi and Bryant are their bigs off the bench and will have to go against Mitch/Hart. The Bucks interior defense was awful, not sure why you're talking them up, the Celtics and Pistons were literally better defensive teams than the Pacers, and both had point of attack defenders who could contain the ball.

We've played the better teams, the Pistons would have smoked the Bucks and given the Pacers a series.

The rebounding might not be a strength of theirs but offensive efficiency is. When you are efficient offensively you don’t have to be a strong rebounding team. Offensively they are better than any team we have faced so far, even the Celtics as talented as they are were just not that efficient and we’ve seen them shoot themselves out of games. Pacers are better offensively. Defensively they aren’t great so again I do feel like we can score on them and match the offense so I’m not talking about their defense but I said offensively what they do will be more challenging than the previous two teams we have faced.

I am hearing and seeing the exact opposite. I actually don't like being the favorite. This team plays better when they are the underdogs.

watching tomorrow morning. game 1 so freaking huge. set the tone early.
Please don't make the same error as KATs Wolves last season did. it was always about Denver Denver Denver. And as they got past them... it all fell apart.
This year, all the talk was how to beat Boston. forget this and focus on the Pacers completely. otherwise they will run us out of the gym.
