Including Brunson? Nah, Brunson is the only untouchable here.

Just a horrible game from the players to the coach.

He got outplayed by Thomas Bryant in an elimination game in the ecf he deserve some sht.

So he was the culprit for those leak outs? oof

Game 6 will be a microscope of KAT's flaws on defense throughout his career.

Yep. This L is mainly on him.

Why did he keep baiting the pacers. He kept acting like he was gonna be up on them then back off. Is that's thibs scheme?

Not a scheme issue. He just has no idea wtf he's doing.

I needed this

Spoiler:
With that... I kinda fck with him. Sure he is a front running dork. But I dig the villain stuff and his game is nice. That said its always fck Hali.

the issue I have is the front running ****. Like when they are losing he is quiet as ****. Ant Edwards is way more authentic he is talking junk regardless.

He wasn't doing a lot for a large portion of this game. Then he gets hot while we are reeling late and he thinks he is the big dog.

Siakam, Obi, and Bryant and then Nembhard switching onto Brusnon were the reasons they won that game.

A true villain. A player only his own fans can love. I hope he leans 100% into it. He is terrible and really great for the league.

I really dont want to watch these finals but ill tune in to root against him

It is possible that KAT will get traded.

Most likely scenario is we stay the same and build the bench.

the CBA basically makes that impossible with the contracts they have. U basically are bargin binning the bench if you don't get rid of a starters contract.

Who wants KATs contract is the issue.

Mikal to me is your most valuable player. He's still the one other teams will covet.

KAT weaknesses are a lot and his contract is even more

Brunson is Brunson. He got that Randle feel to him where most will take him but they won't give up much for him

OG is cool. You need to keep him.

Brunson is one of those overachievers you want to upgrade from. Like going from Stephon Marbury to Jason Kidd or Steve Nash

KAT is 3rd team all NBA coming off a monster year where all metrics say during the regular season he was our best player and many FO's are very analytically driven. Now there is legit concern especially come playoff time where teams mismatch hunt that can Brunson and KAT thrive together as teammates.

They aren't effective offensively enough together where are best lineups were with them apart. To warrant both being not good defenders.

Now part of them not being effective together is clearly thibs but at this point I don't see us moving on from Thibs and most know I'm not a thibs guy.

I think its an either or...you can get creative and be a elite offensive team with Brunson and KAT and a new coach and try to build that way or if you are keeping Thibs I feel like KAT has to go.

Me too, though I think the Heat say No unless they go full rebuild and we add picks or 3-team it.

- Carlisle as Knicks coach and Thibs as Pacers coach (coach swap)
- Brunson allowed to take up the ball without body checks, hand checks, forearm extensions every play
- CBA rules letting us keep iHart and not having to trade Randle / Divo to try to solve our Center dilemma

We are right on the cusp of the Finals. East is weak and the Pacers are a good team (not great) taking advantage. God knows what Western opponent will be there next year -- I don't think we beat the Thunder in most scenarios -- but there are other West teams we would have a much better shot against.

I'd like us to get more athletic and to possibly offload Towns, but I admit I have no solutions for how to do that off the top of my head. I like KAT a lot but the combination of his deficiencies on D and our coaching makes me expect more of the same next year in terms of our inability to get stops against smart teams. On offense he gets no whistle and is boneheaded. He can save us in some games but he costs us more in the long run at the highest levels of competition. Hoping I'm wrong and that we just need a year to gel + a bench because I don't know how we trade him for a strong center + bench depth.

Other than injury concerns I wish we had Anthony Davis at the 4/5. Doubt the Mavs even consider it.

I would welcome a trade of KAT and Deuce for Bam and Davion Mitchell.

I’m sorry but what? You’re talking about a top 7 player in the league.

It's funny that Brunson wasn't a detrimental defender last year when we were a top 10 defense.

We needed big games from Brunson and Kat and they both failed to deliver. Kats just easier to hate on. I get it. Also its easier to excuse a pg who plays poor d cause what pg really does but a big who plays poor d is more glaring.

Brunson isn't going anywhere i was referring to everyone else. But I think Jalen needs to understand that he has things to work on this summer as well.

It's also funny that he wasn't a selfish ball hog when he wasn't the only playmaker last year like he had to be this year.

It's almost like things don't happen in a vacuum.

Anyone who thinks KAT is a bigger problem than thibs and hart is funny. I don’t even ride for KAT like that but we have bigger problems than him. We have the ability to compensate for him. Minnesota had the best defense in the league with KAT.

Hart is not a bad player but thibs treats him like he is Derrick white. He is NOT Derrick white. In fact if we had Derrick white instead of him I don’t see how we don’t go all the way. All playoffs and all ECF we needed Hart playing less and shamet/wright playing more. It took thibs until game 6 to limit harts minutes but it was too late. Everything he does is always too late. He realizes everything multiple games late.

Hart started or played 35 minutes in games 1-5. There’s no reason for it. It’s unexplainable.
