I know Mikal didn’t mesh with Thibs so he probably expressed his discontent. Deuce basically said what he said post game. And I think KAT voice isn’t big enough.

One thing I’m learning about Brunson after the Randle trade is he could give Phil Ivey a run for his money at baccarat with his stoic answers and expressions.

He’s a lot more political than he lets on, reminds me of Magic Johnson.

Think they move one of them to be honest.

Please God.

1 still likely goes but the chances went up a bit. Because these are your GMs high investments. However Hart being traded also goes up. That was a more a Thibodeau move.

Brunson was born into this stuff so it's not surprising that he plays it close to the vest.

Bryant, Dan Hurley, Malone...

seems Jay Wright is out. WWW has probably already sent feelers out to Hurley's agent (who is not CAA btw).

College ball doesn't start until early November so Dan has been in his off-season for a while now. He's probably recruiting and all that jazz right now but otherwise this would be a perfect time for him to make a decision. NYK should bring him in for a meeting.

FO spent 5 picks on Mikal only for Thibs to break his soul. Leon would not tolerate.

Thibs fans, Mikal is your culprit. Hate away!

Timothee Chalamet or Laszlo my pet pigeon who lives near my bedroom window can be our next coach, and we'd still do better than Thibs

Our defense was the laughing stocks of the NBA since Jan when Aaron Wiggins buried wide open, uncontested 3s in Jan and 4 months later the issue was never fixed as the Isaiah Joes, the Malik Beasleys (he could have), the Thomas Bryants shot us out of any title hopes

He's certainly not an offensive coach

So wtf is he doing on the sidelines if he didn't coach us defensively or offensively??????

He only played bench when he was FORCED to (uh everyone's in foul trouble, Delon get in there, uh that's right I used you for a month when Jalen was out and you did decent, how did I never see you all this time on the bench ???)

---

I promise you Thibs defenders or those who said our defense was poor cuz KAT and JB were poor defenders, THEY're gonna be immediately better TEAM (NOT individual) defenders when the coach is a lick more competent than Thibs

Those who said Thibs didn't miss the free throws or commit turnovers, wtf kind of weak sauce is that... Mark Jackson didn't miss free throws or commit silly turnovers for the Warriors, or Doug Collins for the Bulls, or Brad Stevens for the Celtics either but those organizations DID what they FELT needed to be done !!!!

Even he changed his tone late in the season at least as far as accepting the possibility/probability Thibs was going to be fired. But yea he was a die hard defender all season.

I doubt he expected it after going to the ECF though.

He still blames the roster more than anyone in Knicks spaces. Bro goes out of his way to make excuses for Thibs.

j4remi wrote:Just don't screw this up. Thibs made a ton of questionable choices this season, so I'm not mad at it. But I thought he did enough to warrant one more season with the FO tweaking the roster for him.

Get me a legit coach...the last thing I want is another decade of hiring mediocrity.

Just for the pain it would cause (and sorry if this violates the new Moderator rules, because I can't help myself) I would like to see Dolan force the Knicks to hire Isiah Thomas

Nothing bad to say about thibs at this point. He did coach us back to relevancy and I’m thankful for that, but he had to go. This team was not gonna go any further with his philosophy. PLEASE GET THE NEXT HIRE RIGHT WHILE OUR CHAMPIONSHIP WINDOW IS STILL OPEN!!
