He's always sounded motivated.

My guess is that he'll have a good start, but sustaining that and remaining healthy could be another story altogether. He's missed 90+ games the last 3 seasons.

I'm glad he stated this, because I will have no qualms with criticizing him all season long should he lack the desire to rebound or play defense as well as he is able. We already have a few players who are questionable in the effort department; we do not need another.

As long as he doesn't say phenomenal, Bargs will be better. Once that's uttered, watch out

In the video-interview with gazzetta.it he looks genuinly happy and excited for the move. I think he couldn't wait to start new and he emphasised the fact that he's finally in a winning team for the first time in his NBA career which is motivating him a lot.

Molto Bene :P

i think his decline has more to do with Bosh leaving 2 years ago.

:o are you serious? Nothing special? 21.4 PPG scoring efficently taking a lot of crazy last seconds shots, being costantly doubled in every single game of the season?

2 years ago before the injury he was scoring more than 22.5 PPG and was a real candidate for the All Star game. When he returned from the calf injury he was out of shape and had to be careful about his leg. But he was able to end the season with 19.5 PPG.

How many players not named Carmelo or Amar'e did it in the current roster?

No, without Bosh when healthy he had his best seasons.

He really never appeared so happy since the draft day that, for a kid, represents a dream becoming true.
I think that Andrea, speaking in his first language, is able to describe in the best way his feelings and his enthusiasm about NY City and the Knicks.

This is a quick translation, (forgive my english :D )

First of all how are you physically?

Physically I'm fine, the elbow injury has passed, I'm training for several weeks at 100%, then I'm fine, I'm healthy (grinning).

Are you ready to start this new adventure?

Yes, ready and anxious to start this new adventure, I'm happy beyond every limit (smiling very happy), I can not wait to get started. Now there will be the National Team so I will have the opportunity to train and play many games, returning at 100% in shape, so when I return to New York I will be ready from the first second.

What does it mean to play for a strong team like the Knicks, with title ambitions and especially at Madison Square Garden?

It 's amazing. New York is where it all started with the draft, seven years ago. New York, obviously there are no words to describe it, we all know, it's an amazing city and, therefore, play on a stage like this, in such a strong team, I think, from a basketball player point of view, there is nothing that one can want more than this.
I've always gone to play with my National team, physical permitting. And it's positive, regardless, but in my situation it is vital. After two years of injury is an opportunity that comes from the sky. Playing games for a month and an half at the highest level and when you get here (NY) you're ready to go.
I'm so so delighted and happy (smiling happily) to be here. This is a winning team, which has passed the first round of the playoffs and wants to win, wants to get to the top, so for me this is a new experience. It 's the first time I find myself in such an environment, a winning environment. The priority now is to do what I can to help this team. About the starting five ...., who starts on the bench between me and Stoudmire, it is not absolutely a ....... This is a coach's decision, it's nice to be starting, but I'm very ready, no matter, even if I do it from ....... the showers!

Hopefully, he has a career year offensively, defensively and rebounding wise.
I will only cherish the wins and ignore everything else, because that's the only way to survive as a Knicks fan.

http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/ ... -official/

"• The trade became official that sends Andrea Bargnani to New York for Quentin Richardson, Steve Novak, Marcus Camby and three second round picks."

Not sure if this was reported earlier today or before. But that's good news to me.
