you dont need to buy a new one. i did the same thing as kane, and it didnt fix mine. then i did the sweatshirt fix.

i cant find the youtube video for it, but basically u take out the hdd, put a hoodie over the ps3 and wrap it tightly.

then u take an hair dryer and blow hot air into the side of the ps3 opposite the hdd. leave it there for 7-10 minutes.

let the ps3 cooldown n it will work just fine.

i've been doing this once every month or two since august and my ps3 still functions awesomely.

I had a YLOD too (lightning hit the house). The guy told me that if it was the source, it'd be worth to repair it. If it was the motherboard, might as well throw it away.

You should contact sony. At the very least, they'll be able to backup your files, I guess.

Happened to me a month ago, I decided the best thing to do was to sell it on eBay and put the money towards a new PS3 Slim. I didn't open it because it's worth more unopened but I did put a hair dryer on the back to heat up the inside so it worked again briefly to get my game out.

hey gremz, do you still do sigs? I've been meaning to change mine ever since the sixers became a rival for playoff seeding.

Starting to think that it might be beneficial for this team going forward to not make the playoffs this year.
1) D'antoni is gone right away.
2) Amare gets much needed rest.
3) We come back as a real hungry team next year with a chip on our shoulder.

It's so easy foreseeing Mike get outcoached in a series against a good defensive team..

Does anyone play Black Ops or Assassin's Creed Brotherhood online on PS3?

I want to get some opinions on it before I buy one of them.

Would you guys recommend I play AC I and II before I play Brotherhood?
