Yes, I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk linking Vucevic to the Knicks. Could be a smokescreen though unlikely as it's hard to hide interest from the NY media...especially from one who works for Dolan (Alan Hahn through Newsday which is under Dolan). So unless Hahn is in on the smokescreen (highly unlikely) there seems to be no real interest...for whatever reason.

maybe vucevic and darius (and whoever else) in the next poll- i think adding new options erases and resets the poll right? only 63 pages until the new one haha.

Where's Darius Morris in the pole?

I was playing around with it. It looks like the number (of picks) stay but they don't move. So I can add more options at the end and the old picks will not get wiped. However if, for example, I insert someone in the middle, then they would get the number of picks that the guy that he jumped would get.

As far as Darius Morris goes? Pass. REAL 6'5" starting caliber NBA point guards are lottery picks (dont' matter how they shoot...see Jason Kidd, Ricky Rubio, Michael Ray Richardson, Magic, even Shaun Livingston who, if not for leg problems would have been real nice).

Morris is still a borderline 1st rounder even after all combine and all the workouts and no one is getting excited about him. That tells me that most people with experience in what it takes to be an starting NBA point guard don't believe he's one. And if he's not then he's basically a Mardy Collins, Javaris Crittenton type of big college PG turned NBA SG who just can't shoot or score consistently. Kiss of death right there.

Could be our next under the radar Landry Fields type pick in the 2nd round

According to someone who went to the same school as Delroy:

live in RI and I see a lot of Delroy James. He is a decent shooter and gets open shots because teams focus on defending his penetration. He is hidden on a very bad team which is why he gets little hype, similar to guys like Adrian Oliver and Xavier Silas. He wont get the recognition until he becomes a great shooter but he definitley has a shot at the NBA. I do agree with the Lamar Odom comparison as well

Sounds interesting......

i immediately thought of lamar after delroy's first jump shot. maybe it's because of him being a left handed shooter.

I really don't see any issue with Amare playing C as long as we have a guy next to him that can rebound, defend, and do the dirty work. Its actually an easier assignment to guard NBA C's.

There are so few true NBA C's NBA. Guys that are 7' tall. Most starting Cs are PFs or they are C's that have 0 offensive game.

And really, we may call it playing "center", but Amare will be doing the exact same thing on offense if he would be playing "power foward"

The NBA is all about matchups and traditional positions are almost a thing of the past.

I mean look at Miami. What position does Bosh and Anthony/Haslem play? What position do Wade and Bron play? Its all about matching up.

if we draft a guy like Faried I think he would be great to combat guys like Haslem and Joel Anthony and help us control the boards which was our biggest weakness. And sure, we could always sign someone. Problem is you have to overpay those guys. Reality is that it is harder to find backup big men then backup Gs and swingmen. And a lot of the Gs we are looking at are most likely backups anyway just like someone like Faried would be.

Well, I'd rather take him with a second rounder than at #17 since that seems to be his projection right now (or Nolan Smith or someone like Malcolm Lee if we go with Selby in the first) but I think he's probably more Shaun Livingston than Mardy Collins. Mardy had like an old man's game to him, while Morris is more flashy and uptempo.

Reminds of a Chuck Hayes or a better Jared Jefferies.

Not a bad option to develop in our new Erie Developmental Team that we now run. :D

I also like Vucevic. He has Marc Gasol type of body. At the very least he will rebound and give us size. The problem is we def need a two guard on this team.

So is this the time to throw Davis Bertans into the fray? I mean on paper is there a better prospect to really replace Gallo?

The more articles come out, the more im confused..

One article says Player X got killled, another says Player X did great, another says Player Y is a bust, another says Player Y is future all-star

This is all so crazy, Just want it to come and go already

Different teams, different views. IMO don't put any stock in it at all really. I mean Deron Williams owns Chris Paul, are you gonna pass on Paul because one guy has his number?

Guess how many minutes of playing time he got in 3 games of the Slovenian League playoff finals (Game 4 is being played as we speak)?

Justin Harper and Jon Leuer are similar, but more NBA ready than Bertans. Dont see Bertans sniffing our radar at all. A replacement for Gallo is probably one of the last things we are looking at, considering our two best players are forwards. Not to mention Bertans wont ever be as good as Gallo, and it will be years before we find out anyway. Everything Ive read has him about as 1 dimensional as you can get. He stroked the rock at the Hoops Summit, but still... an easy pass for me.

2 weeks until the draft fellas. Then comes the flurry of the off topics.

I know he got like 9 minutes in the first game, haven't checked the other two but I'm going to guess single digits in another and zero in the other. Close?

I just don't see us ever taking a Leuer, just can't picture it. Harper's name has really cooled off over the past two months to the point in which he barely pops up in conversations. I agree that we shouldn't be looking for a Gallo replacement, but we can use that shooter. Bertans can shoot for sure and brings good length. Never in a million years would I take him at 17, but I'm getting bored with the SG rhetoric.
