lol, now you're questioning how many black people I know? I'm black, and know a huge amount of black people from all types of demographics. You keep acting like only white people don't care that Drake isn't street while most black people do, but since there's more white people than black people Drake can still remain popular and sell records. well if your black WTH are you arguing with me for. If your black, then you should know barbershop talk then. Thats all this is, coming from me. A bunch of people including yourself is trying to tell me that I am incorrect for the reasons why I dont like him or that it dont matter. This is HIP HOP. Thats the BEAUTY of it. You LIKE WHAT YOU LIKE. If someone told me, that Ja rule is they favorite rapper...who the hell am I to argue with that person?? I have not once **** on his talent. That's debatable. Why I don't like him is NOT. I am not even making this personal...people are trying to have some kind of pitch fork sessions cause of what I am saying about Drake. It shows how people dont respect peoples tastes or they backgrounds. I grew up hard as hell man. I am not happy about it...but it is what it is. I like what, what I like. I dislike what I dislike.

Alright man, I got you. I'm not saying that you're wrong in disliking Drake, I'm just making the point that most dudes don't have a problem with Drake not being from the streets since you seemed to be insinuating that the hip hop community does. He has a reputation of being soft as a person, but as a rapper, he's well respected. I'm in LA right now, and the barbershop talk is that Meek took a major L, but mainly because he started this petty beef and couldn't finish it. Most don't have a problem with Drake because at the end of the day he's making good music and he came back at Meek with bars

Wow. Meek ain't platinum because he's trash.

Yeah I'm sorry I had to have this convo the other day. Meek ain't gold because he's trash. Can't even get gold status with a ton of songs you hear everywhere and the whole MMG train behind him.

Now I'll continue to avoid this conversation for now.

and so is Bobby Shmurda. Its did not stop him from having a bigger song that meek ever had. You know why that song was big? cause white America embraced it and played it. That song is trash to the first degree. You sitting her fronting as if you dont know what time it is. If white america knew about currency like that, he would be platinum and a house hold name. These are facts. Dude is a better Wiz Khalifa, with the whole smoking vibe and being an MC, but gets no burn like that nation wide by the masses. Black Fans and the few white fans are not enough to blow him up. He is a niche artist because of that. If was not for white fans, Joey Badass would be an unknown on the low. Look at his shows. Its not Black heads like that. Even he spoke on it...the majority of his fans are white.

One thing I hate about liking Drake. His fans get so circle-jerky about him. I get caught up in it sometimes too(see earlier in the thread lol) The whole "I don't understand how you don't like him" argument is a staple in Drake arguments and it's dumb. Part of the reason why when me and my buddies are talking rap, I almost never bring him up even though he's been my favorite artist for a while now. It just leads to dumb arguments that become irrational after a while. I just hate when people say all he does is pop music and just disregard him as not being hip-hop when I can pull up numerous songs that Drake gives bars but, whatever.

I understand, but you seem to have something against people who do like Drake. Constantly saying he ain't "hip-hop" or "he ain't about that life" does not change the fact that people still like and love him.

We get it. You don't like Drake. Hell, I don't like Bronson or M&M. All good.

I get what your saying. I think the whole dance and beat helped that song out.

This however doesn't take away from the fact that Merk is garbage. He has no flow, his bars are garbage and his tone sucks. He's nothing more than a loud mouth, rambling dimwit. I can't understand a thing he says.

Now about my boy Curren$y, I agree.

Your question has no point to my statement. Cause Like I said, alot of people in the hood dont like drake. Nothing more nothing less.

And a lot do.

I think you're talking the older hip-hop heads, because the youngin's feel Drizzy.

You weren't feeling Shmurda? Dude's song hit everyone not just white folk. Remember black people discovered him first and blow him up on Vine and YouTube. I heard about him from a dude I knew from his block first.

Now you are right in general but Meek doesn't even appeal to black people like that. I don't know anyone my age that really likes his music. I don't know 10 people that listen to his albums. He can't even go gold and he's everywhere...

 If it makes you feel better thinking that, continue. You have an odd hatred for someone you don't know simply because he's not "hard." Clearly a huge chunk of ALL people (men, women, and all races) like Drake or, like I said before, he wouldn't be selling as much as he is.

I want to rip into you but I respect Cole so much for going platinum with no features and setting up Bas, Cozz (even if I don't like his music like that), and Omen for success. Dreamville is being slept on but their roster is getting strong. Cole needs to start bringing in different types of artists.

Greenie I still love you. lol.

Nah @Eballa. I was not feeling song.I need Bars, Now Bobby the person, I have no issue with. I understand what situation he was in and the hood he from. He was having fun, and the song went viral. He was unfairly targeted by the police as well. GS9 is official in east ftatbush in BK. Before the song, they just a click who get it in. Now... they a click who has access to large amounts of money cause of Bobby now. All the stuff they bagged him on...they ALREADY knew. But it was not that serious. They trumped up his charges cause of who he was. The NYPD had to take them dudes down. This is a real crew...not some rap ****. The police went from looking them on the corner one month....Mad Benzes and Gold and His face is everywhere. Police HATE to see **** that. It was all LEGAL now...thats supreme hate.z He went from the Block, Straight to jimmy Fallon. Thats huge where I am from. Its unheard of, they way it happened with him.

Nah, Meek did it to himself. That's the gag of it all.

How do you start a twitter beef(because another adult didn't tweet your album was out) and drag someones music into it and when they respond back you reply days later with "Wanna Know"?

How? How Sway.
I wanna know Meek.
You obviously don't have the answers.

Meek bodied himself with his childish behahvior on SM and then by releasing the garbage that is "Wanna Know".

He did this to himself.

Man...whitepeople hold hip hop DOWN. I can easily say, that if not for white people, real hip hop would NOT have a chance. These artist would starve. At this point, whites have more respect for the form in in truest form. Mad Young Blacks, dont care about Lyrics... RIght now...You have way more white teenagers banging, WU than you have black teens. Even Europe holds Hip Hop Down more than America. Its why if you are real MC, you can go over there and eat lovely. For the most par,. Black Kids only know whats on the radio. Joey should be HUGE amongst his black peers. He is the full package... We have been programmed to like only what is popular. Young black heads who like Joey...tend to like good music, and not the stuff on the radio.
