How high is 8 and 23 moving you up? To 6 maybe?

Unless we include more assets I don't see how it's enough to move up anywhere higher

because most picks suck. everyone is too excited about them generally. people want to take on 15 to 20 million in dead salary for 3 years for 1 lousy late 1st and always get offended when i say it's a bad idea.

Tomic looks like he'd be a good, cheap, back-up C in the NBA for 2-3 seasons. 15-20 mins to beat up on bench units.

The more I try and figure out what Utah was thinking making this deal now, the more I think it's economics, and specifically the unwillingness to pay the $3M it'd cost for a good 2nd rounder like #38.

Instead of paying $3M, they paid 4 draft slots in the first round.

This is great for the Knicks. I'd hate every bit of this in reverse.
