Re: OT: NFL 25 Draft and Beyond Thread
The offensive line has been an issue since 2012. Is it really hard to find decent linemen? It’s crazy that it’s been 13 years since we’ve had a functional unit out there. Not sure this unit deserves another week if they’re just gonna get embarrassed. I might as well throw Mbow out there next weekend and send Hudson and JMS to the bench. We’re wasting time with these guys out there. Neal run blocked okay last year. Might as well dress him too.

its could also be coaching (because I see players thrive when they leave the giants) for sure a combination of both...we know the oline simply can't hold up without AT. But the interior OL is horrible I will say that.
Coaching is a big issue too for sure. I mean just looking at our offense, we have one guy in Nabers plus another in Thomas. Everyone else is below avg or backup quality or just isn't good
Defense isn't as bad... Just not enough talent either though.
Talent, coaching, basically everything..... Lots of issues everywhere and it makes everyone look bad. We are watching the same bad team again over and over for years.
Doesn't help when players leave and look better. And Giants continue to get worse. The franchise is rotten from the top down
I'm worried they are going to rush Dart out there now because the fans are going to get restless really quick.

Giants: I thought they upgraded the O-Line. I thought Wilson would be "good enough". 6 points?!
Jets: Offensively, Hall and Wilson will carry this team, Fields looks good, defense has a C-/D grade.

if they aren't going to be competitive vs Washington a team they historically do well against even in bad years...this could be a rough season considering the schedule.

Dart should not play but it doesn't matter. Schoen and Daboll are gonna get fired and Dart is probably screwed because the next GM will want to draft his own QB.

You don't know Mara very well then

Daboll can win 4 games and still keep his job if Dart looks promising.

You don't know Mara very well then. He will skew whatever search to pick a GM/HC candidate that will sell him on making Dart work...if Schoen and Daboll do get fired...its going to be someone that sells Mara that Dart is answer and they can turn it around with him at the helm.

honestly, if we get like the #2 pick and we can swing like 3 first round picks out of it, we take it and run with dart

Yea, this team is a mess so it’ll put him in a real tough spot. There were reports the giants had packages for Dart and he may have even played some snaps today.
We will probably see him at some point. Hard to trust any of the decision making.

Correct, I'm not drafting a QB in the 1st round next year. Dart gets some time to prove he is or isn't the guy. Preseason is preseason but he showed something. So he will get a shot to run the team. And because our talent doesn't seem to be up to par. This would be our first time in a while using a top pick to trade down and parlay it into multiple impact players could be huge.
Because ideally you have DJ dead cap coming off the books next year (20 MM). You they will cut Bobby Okereke/Runyun/ and a few others saving probably close to 50 MM in cap space. Then you have a rookie QB in Dart on the cap...and can make some big FA splashes and then use multiple high draft picks from a potential trade down to draft OL, interior DL, and more weapons and playmakers on offense and defense.
The time to strike in terms of a the cap would be next year with having such small amount of cap tied up in a QB. The question is for being such a huge offseason nothing has showed me that Daboll/Schoen deserve the next year to decide that crucial offseason.

yeap and if dart sucks, we get another high pick and can take a QB the year after. ideally, we trade with another **** team that needs a QB because most rookie QBs will struggle year 1 and they have a 50% bust rate so there's a decent chance we end up with a couple of future top 5 picks out of it too.
schoen and daboll should be gone if we end up picking in the top 5

The Jets can win participation trophies im jealous. Yes I did say going into week 1 I just wanna see us look like a functional nfl team. If you're gonna be bad you could at least hope the line looks good and receivers can catch. An nfl offense that can't get it into the end zone from the 5 yard line 3 times, then the 1 yardline 4 teams is the height of pathetic.

Yesterday should be the end for both Daboll and Schoen.
Nothing has changed. Absolutely nothing.

Re: OT: NFL 25 Draft and Beyond Thread
Yall fell for the "its different this year" lol
These season was doomed the minute Daboll and Schoen was retained. I said then I will say it now. All it did was delay the Giants getting back on track by another year.
Scohen sucks at talent evaluation, Daboll sucks at coaching, Mara sucks at owning the team.
This is why you see what you see. Sad part is that if Mara keeps his nepotism up after this season it don't matter, cause all he will do is hire another bum and this 10+ Year cycle will continue.
