So we needed another defender who doesn't space the floor? And a guy that could actually space the floor as well as turn into a legit scoring threat won't make us better at all? I'm starting to understand a lot about you

stop with this space the floor.. bargs isn't a better shooter than novak.. wasn't novak supposed to space the floor? You see how quick you guys turn on players? never addressing the real problems.. we don't have efficient scorers, our top scorer is almost the worst in that area.. we don't score in the paint, and we don't rebound.. stop with this spacing the floor crap.. because if we can't stop any bigs in the paint and rebound. spacing the floor won't mean a thing when you are down all the time..

you can laugh all you want.. but what you are doing is wishing and hoping.. It dosn't matter who we obtained, you would find a way to justify it, because you just want it to work so bad.. but things don't work that way bro..

Well there's the first problem. You're not willing to change your stance despite some pretty strong evidence.

there is no evidence... he is not a good defender... but i just went along with him, even if he was. if he is not better than chandler, why even think about putting him on hibbert who owned chandler... can you not see that point? or are you just choosing to ignore it and as the season rolls along turn on bargs as soon as you discover.. he isn't a good defender at all?

You're beyond help at this point. Read up a little bit. Look at some stats. Or will that hurt your opinion too much? Also you ignored the post where I outlined how you can have Bargnani on the floor taking Hibbert out of the middle with Chandler at the 5 guarding Hibbert on the other end of the floor.

I thought he had talent and wasn't bad(talent wise).. but he is not motivated and lazy... and not what we needed...

just curious..

I shared the same opinion as you as far as Bargs. All world talent with little league heart.

But I would trade for that all day if he is replacing Novak, who defined negative sum player.

It's nice to throw out other players who you believe fit better, but it's not like AK-47 would cause us to make some quantum leap either.

Bargnani makes us a better offensive team. He gives us another dimension if he is healthy. There is no denying that. Does that make us significantly better than before? Maybe not, but it is better than standing pat with a team we knew wasn't good enough, and it is certainly better than relying on Novak for anything.

For reasons that have nothing to do with Andrea, we are limited in the ways we can improve. Taking a chance on Bargs is probably one of the best "bang for buck" chances we could have taken this offseason.

Did you even watch the playoffs? Did you not see us being forced into jumpers? Why in god's name are you comparing him to Novak?! Novak was a catch and shoot specialist. Bargnani is way more than that. But again if you don't think spacing the floor is important, there's really no conversation to be had here. You just don't get it.

There is plenty of evidence to support that Bargs is a solid man defender, excellent post defender (when healthy of course), but dreadful help defender.

Bargnani can absolutely guard Hibbert,or at least give him problems.Bargniani will have more energy because he won't be the only one on the team who can score.

Pretty much.

In fact...I'm going to lock this bad boy up. Whatever could have been said has been said after 300+ pages I think. Don't think anyone who hasn't had their minds changed is going to have it changed now.

let me ask this... copeland was supposed to be our other scorer.. he proved he can score.. are you telling me if he was given 20 mpg he could not get 12-15ppg? what is going on here is pure wishing... the raptors were pretty much willing to give bargs away... No one wanted this guy.. we were the only team offering a first round pick.. I can almost guarantee that..

but let me ask you.. why did we lose to the pacers? it is simple.. we couldn't guard hibbert, we could not rebound or score in the paint.. he doesn't address any of those needs, and we had that problem all year.. barkley pointed that out early and often, as did I..
