When Tyler said that he obviously wasn't gunning for B.o.B but what B.o.B became about. He became an annoying popstar that got to a point where you'd here the songs play and you'll think to yourself what Tyler said. BTW I think Odd Future is getting vastly overrated. They're good but not THAT good.

if you do go, make sure you dont miss the edan set.
not a huge fan of hip-hop shows, but i seen a couple edan sets and they were both amazing. one of the few djs who could spin, cut, mix and rap all in the same sequence without skipping a beat. his special guest paten locke can do the same as well. extremely talented dudes with that b-boy energy.

also, shouts to rubberoom and qwazaar.
rubberoom was one of the more innovative groups out of chicago, infusing industrial into their tunes. as far as rhyme patterns go, they were like chicago's organized konfusion. pure madface music.

qwa used to go to this radio station around my way and wreck sht on the freestyle tip. i always thought he had one of the illest voice/flow combos i heard up until then. he just never had good beats to back him.

Since that BOB diss I see the wolfgang all over FB pages where they probably never woulda shown up. Good for them.

For me, Intuition is a favorite of mine who I wish would blow up...but he'll likely be underground till he dies.

Also been bumping a lot of Benefit lately.

These Jersey suburban kids suddenly love 'em. Not even rap fans or typical hip hoppers...the alternative semi-hipster crowd is suddenly throwing them dudes all over their pages like this is a big new discovery. Back to the trillness though...throw backs a lil but if you like multi's

Like Immortal Technique?

I like Benefit...dude's different. His delivery was never great but he always had intricacies I could mess with.

I didn't read this whole thread, so forgive me if this has already been discussed but Childish Gambino is doing work in his last two mixtapes.

thats not a recent development at all. they've been "cool" amongst hipsters for a while, ever since they first started getting love from rags like pitchfork who started giving them major pub during late summer/fall.
it also helps that they remix and have had their stuff remixed by popular alternative acts like toro y moi and lykke li.

Jesus dude, my statement is that people I KNOW on facebook are bumping them suddenly sans the diss...It's a new crowd of people in my neck of the woods bumping them. I'm seeing this, physically...with my own eyes...So yes, they've gotten a bump in areas by me and it's clearly new.

nah, you're just trying to continue to say that they've seen a recent spike in popularity due to being "dissed" by BOB, which simply is not true.
the buzz started a while ago, as did the beginnings of their crossover appeal. BOB has absolutely no bearing on their fan base. none.

anyways, some interesting news for the older heads. if anybody's familiar with neek the exotic, he's finally dropping his long awaited collabo with large pro.
it'll most likely be anticlimactic, but i remember waiting for like forever in the mid 90s for them to drop on official project.
first single, not bad. doesn't sound as stale as large pro's more recent work.

23 hrs ago from a techno head I know...
so, as people wonder what they want to do with their life, ive come to the conclusion that im devoting the rest of my quickly diminishing youth to working with/for ODDFUTURE.
...4 likes from similar cats

Girl named Sarah who listens to MDMA types is droppin' links to Tyler the Creators Sarah today got multiple likes from a team of white boys.

Why would I make this **** up? :x For younger heads, I'm seeing a spike in activity. I'm just pointing it out and you gotta front...gtfoh with that nonsense, no reason to be on some "I don't believe you...that's not true." You want my fb login too? haha

nope, im just saying their popularity amongst hipsters and their crossover appeal is nothing new. they've gotten plenty of ink in all those rags and have been a staple amongst the "hypebeast" community. i'm also reiterating that BOB has nothing and will have nothing to do with the popularity of OF. thats all.

And I'm straight up saying, I've witnessed a whole faction of kids I know and associate with suddenly flood my Home Page with Tyler and Earl youtubes post BOB...They're hipsters but they didn't know who these cats were last week. I'm not saying B.O.B. put these cats on the map, but it's clear that these 18-22 yr old hipster and techno heads with limited hip hop knowledge are jumping on a train randomly...and it's not like they're all in one group. OF was not and is not all that popular, they have a small cult following. You're acting like they're a big deal.

Bobby did help Odd Future with some exposure, hell most Bob fans didn't even know it was a diss until they read it somewhere. I don't think it's anything major or anything like that but he did get them a few fans. However ever since the Jimmy Fallon performance there has been a steady rise in popularity, add the 2dopeboyz comments as well.

no im not.
i just appreciate their movement and am noting the recognition theyre getting with no help of pop acts like BOB or kanye. i hope they succeed so this fairy sht thats hot right dies off.
they are the anti-BOB/lupe/j-cole/kanye/drake/big sean.
their **** is extreme but i hope they usher back in a grittiness/edginess back into the game that i think is sorely missing.
