Obviously Okafor and Towns are getting more publicity since they are playing here in the U.S

But damn, I feel it would be a mistake to pass on Mudiay. Even if we get the #1 pick, we should take a good hard look at him. We need a PG/SG that can attack the rim and finish. Melo is more of a jumpshooter, an elite jumpshooter, but hes not really the type to get past a defender and get to the basket consistently.

Mudiay I feel will have an early impact and has just as a higher ceiling than Okafor & Towns. Towns I see several years to develop and really get going.

Either way, its pretty exciting to have our own pick, and a potential top 3 pick at that.

I'm really liking the idea of a Dragic/Mudiay backcourt, I think they would be such a perfect compliment to each other and Melo. They would as you said turn Melo into quick decision making jumpshooter rather than hold the ball to iso-Melo. I just wish we had the chance to see Mudiay play under Larry Brown right now so we could truly get a feel for his game.

how Dragic and Mudiay fit exactly? Mudiay is a less athletic John Wall type of guard, he is a pure point.

Dragic is a slashing guard, not a shooter, is not a perfect fit at all.

If the Knicks got the 1st pick they have to pick Jah, if they got the 2nd, they have to pick Mudiay, after that is Winslow for me and is not even close.

Agreed with 1 and 2. Do not want Towns. I'd trade the 3rd pick and below for a good player if we can.

Enough with Winslow already. If I see someone posting we have to take Winslow, Harrell, or Upshaw again I am going to lose it. Were not taking Winslow with the 3rd pick in the draft. Sorry, aint happening. He isnt even the best wing prospect.

So a Towns Monore Harris Anthony combo isn't looking so bad anymore is it? Aldrich Early Acy maybe Dalembert and second round steal.

Monroe/Aldrich/Dalembert
Harris/Towns/Acy
Anthony/Early/Thanasis
Shumpert/Hardaway/Galloway
Jacskon/Larkin/Priggs

Awful defensive front court.

No to Reggie Jackson. We need a leader at the pg position not some kid who is out to get payed. F him.

Knicks better off keeping Jose Calderon at PG than overpaying for Reggie Jackson or Goran Dragic.

Knicks need a point a guard to break out defenses. Either draft Mudiay or trade for Eric Bledsoe.

I saw him when they played Kansas. Crashes the offensive boards hard, mobile, air balled a 3 to win the game lol. But looks good. If he gets stronger I think he could be a Robin Lopez/Asik type role playing center. If we go guard with our pick, i would hope we could trade THjr for a mid first and hopefully pick him up.

I also like Delon Wright as a late first/early second. Gets to rim, just looks smooth. Good size for both backcourt positions too.

I hope we get some second round picks somehow. Especially for a back pg I think there will be a lot of talent in the second round. I keep seeing us some how getting my boy Ryan Boatright in the second round and I get excited lol. But still there are a lot of other talented underrated guards that could go in the second round imo.

If we draft Towns -- who is in my Top 2 I think Monroe is a possible fit next to him but someone like Hibbert might work even better considering Towns can shoot/pass the ball. Hibbert could be our Bynum (lite) and Towns our Gasol (lite).

I'd also target J-Butler with all the available cash I could put together.

Hibbert
Towns
Melo
Butler
Calderon

The only things I'll say about R-Jackson is that he has talent, an ability to break down defenses and get to the rim. He has swag (confidence), size and youth.

These are all attributes we need and are missing on this team.

There are no perfect PGs out there -- getting someone that is young/talented/plays very hard -- wouldn't be the worst thing.

A scenario like this wouldn't be all bad.

Draft Towns for PF. Sign Hibbert and R-Jackson.

Hibbert
Towns
Melo
THJ
R-Jackson

At least in this scenario we have great size along the front line with a C/PF combo that will defend/rebound/block shots.

Jackson gives us that jolt of athleticism and someone who can break down the D -- he's also YOUNG.

Did you actually use swag to describe a kid and somehow that was meant as a good thing? SMH.

All you know to know about this kid is that he wanted his paycheck first before wins in OKC. To the point that his team freezed him out for shooting too much. A team with championship aspirations. But somehow this is fine because he is young and has "swag".

Then you also want to sign the overrated Hibbert. So glad you are no the gm.

Watched the UK vs. Ville game and I gotta say Towns didn't really impress me. I know his numbers say he had a good game, but I didn't see anything that wow'd me. I'm telling people that with all the talent this UK team has, it makes the game easier for everyone. I think it also over inflates how good each of those kids is, or potentially under values them (if they don't really get a chance to show all of their abilities in that unselfish system). What UK has is GREAT for Kentucky basketball but I think its hard for scouts to rate these guys accurately. I think Towns has talent, but how good is he really? I'm just not sure, and I don't think we'll know until he plays in the NBA.

I honestly liked that Ulis kid more then anyone else out there (outside of maybe Cauley Stein). I think those Harrison twins aren't even close to pro level guards by any stretch of the imagination.
