Correct. I want to remove all joy from this forum completely.

Oh wait... what's this?

It seems as though all joy has already been removed. I didn't even have to lift a finger.

Knicks might get a Jabroni for Melo, but not a Jabari

Dear Melo, I wrote you, but you still ain't callin'
I watched you play all season and weren't really ballin
I sent two letters back in autumn
You must not've got 'em
There probably was a problem at the Knicks front office or somethin'
Sometimes I scribble addresses too sloppy when I jot 'em
But anyways, **** it, what's been up, man?
How's your bottom dollar?
My girlfriend's pregnant too, I'm 'bout to be a father
If I have a daughter, guess what I'ma call her?
I'ma name her LaLa
I read about your problems being a DaDa
Hope you don't move to far away from Dolans dolla!

bucks - late 1st round pick and what else ? where is all the salary coming from ? and what else are they getting that would equal parker's value ? it's another rumor that doesn't make sense

Why is everyone so happy about us trying to get a guy who has 2 ACL tears TO THE SAME KNEE at only 22 years of age. Am I missing something?

Also if we want to tank we need to trade Melo. This is for all intents and purposes his contract year for his last big contract. You better believe he will be on for most of the season and we don't want that on the tank.

I'm picking out the posters who had problems with DSJ's knee in the draft process so they could big up Frank and now want Jabari who tore the same ACL twice... Y'all ain't slick.

Bucks might be trying to cash out on Jabari before they get stuck with him. His trade value will probably never be higher. How quickly some forget his injuries. That severely limits his trade value. If you can get him without taking on significant money you do it. Even with cloud of injury over his head he's still a better fit for this knicks team than Melo.

Players who get a NTC on their contract do it so they have confidence that they won't get dumped onto a team in the boondocks with no hope for the season because it's a good business deal for the organization said player is on...the " business" side of things. It's actually so the player has the power to stay on his team, and if he does want to demand where he's going, he can demand going to a good team and leave the **** team he's on...that's usually the case when a player demands a trade..it's to a better situation. There are a lot of good teams, better situations, but Melo doesn't want to go...why?

For the player to do what Melo is doing there has to be a good reason to stay on the team, right? This dude is using his NTC to STAY ON THE **** TEAM, not get out. Meanwhile, there are players above and below his tier taking destiny into their own hands and making moves that benefit their careers. Is this guy doing that? This mentality of his is why he has people rubbing their faces.

Saying "we did this we did that it's not Melo's fault" is simplifying it too much, put some context into it. This guy doesn't even know what the right way to use the power he has is...he'd rather stay in a dump then go give a couple years to a solid team and then go wherever he wants....nope, he'd rather play here and go nowhere. That's all you need to know why people think this guy is a dumbass, because most of the people who have a problem with him doing this can't fathom doing it themselves. You would sit here collect and mope, that's you, but don't paint it like it's the right thing to do just because the power to do it was handed to you....it's **** stupid and a career killing move.

Irving didn't even have a NTC...he played with Lebron James, yet he demanded a trade, ended up being on the best regular season, ECF team from last year and is ready to go toe to toe with Lebron in the ECF on his own...Paul George was able to leave a bunch of nobodies and is now going to start along side the defending MVP, even Butler is going to go play with a young and coming team with a couple of former ROY winners and a great coach.....wtf is Melo doing with his NTC? Poor baby doesn't want to go anywhere because he wants to only play with Li'l Chris.

So read your bolded statement and ask yourself, is what this guy doing in his own best interest? Staying on this team? Really? This is what bums who don't know if they're going to be in the league do, not future hall of famers. I want him to go somewhere and kick ass, I don't just want him off this team because he sucks or anything...it doesn't matter, this team is garbage with or without him...but he can do better, and he won't. This is why this dude has me SMDH.

Exactly. It is possible to think melo is being a dope even though he does not owe us anything. Really not that complicated.

Yeah it is complicated though. Guys like you gotta understand that Ny is just the **** situation in the town you like. Ill give you some scenarios

1Bad situation, great town
2Bad situation, bad town
3Great situation, great town
4Great situation, bad town

I think I covered every situation. Think of it like a tree diagram from your statistics class. The Knicks are that first scenario. I think fans assume he won't waive his clause because Melo wants this scenario as if he wakes up everyday hoping the Knicks suck. To me thats oversimplifying it. If he could have his way Im sure NY would be the 3rd but we all know it won't and Im sure at this point he realizes that. Its not crazy to think he didn't realize it last season. Maybe he actualy thought like some fans that adding Rose/Lee/Noah wouldve changed things. Obviously it didn't. But now its certain, our goal as a franchise is to be option 1.

But keep in mind, waiving his NTC could easily land him in option 2 as well. Haters never factor that in as well. And hey, if you're gonna give me option 2 then hell yeah Im gonna choose option 1 instead. But again, haters (im generalizing for convenience here) assume Melos issue is mostly option 4. We think that Melo just hates certain towns that he would rather not win. It is possible in some cases but Id rather asume hes holding out for option 3.

Perfection. Great situation, great town. And to me THAT is his right. Not mine, not yours. I really wish hed open up to option 4 but I get he wants 3 more than 1. My order would probably be 3, 1, 4, 2.

And let's face it. Nobody is gonna change thier view on Melo by him joining the blazers even if they go to the playoffs every year until he retires. Perhaps Knick fans will apprecieate that he allowed us to rebuild but in the grand scheme of things we're more happy to get him out of our hair than gaf about his post knick happiness or success. So all im saying is let's stop pretending that we care.

Melo knows this and thats why he probably has the same order I have...
3 Houston
1 NY
4- Wizards
2- Pelicans

It would be great to know what teams would be interested, if any, that haven't been linked to him throughout this process. IE would a CHA or MIL take a swing on him to try to maximize this year.

It's getting too close training camp. I expect melo to start the season a knick. My only problem with that is we don't know what the starting frontcourt will be. I am afraid it will be this.

Willy at 5
Kp at the 4
Melo at the 3

Yeah we tried that last year and it didn't work out very well. Not starting Willy would be holding him back imo. so I am not a fan of bringing him off the bench

9 players and the Bucks get garbage? I doubt it.

Snell(4\44 4th yr PO 12mil) Henson (3/30) Delly(3/30) have long contracts. Monroe is a 17mil expiring.

Not much else makes sense. Small expirings.

This rumor makes no sense to me.

This trade worked in the espn trade machine.

Knicks- Jabari, Delladova, Anderson, Zho Qi
Rockets- Melo
Bucks- future first rd pick from Hou, Ariza, Quinn, Kuz, Lance Thomas.

Jabari had 2 acl injuries I'm not so sure his value is that high for the bucks which make him expandable and good risk for the Knicks to take.

Return to New York Knicks
