My theory is that contracts have hit a point where a lot of teams value adding one max guy and minimum wage short term players over 3 players that add up to the max and are all talented. You sign older guys, you pay less which preserves the space for a max guy and you don't have to invest development time on players that are expendable. Max Cats, Rookie Contracts and minimum salaries until you're ready to contend seems like the wave.

The Knicks exploiting market inefficiencies by zagging when the rest of the league is zigging.

Hmm. I don’t agree. He needs to improve obviously but a bust he is not. Anthony Bennett is a bust.

It’s a different era right now. Plus the frank we’ve mostly seen in the nba is a far reality from those guys you mentioned. Penny and Magic were very aggressive scorers at times in their careers though...
Exactly. Funny thing is he is wrong. I actually love all the same types of PGs he does and love the same types of SGs as he does. Right now Frank doesn't fit either scenario. Frank's style of play is alot more Pablo Priggioni
i had the same exact thought. there's a lot of similarities.
Oh, that's interesting. And we all loved Pablo.
He really just has to be passable at scoring. He hasn't been. But that's the bar.

It just occurred to me the name Pablo Picasso is reasonably similar to Pablo Pickpocket

Ntilikina is not projected to be in a rotation on a team predicted to only win 28 games while being the 8th pick. That's a bust.

Lol I actually was defending DSJR. But Frank still has time to figure out a role and not be a bust.

2 years into a career is way too early for anyone to be a bust.

Especially considering that Frank was only 18 years old when he came into the league. Hes the same age as some of the current rookies in the nba. If anything he got a jumpstart.
