Glad KP is gone. We should have gotten at least one of Jaylen Brown / Dejounte Murray in return though.

RJ KP Mitch is a solid ass foundation to build around
I'd have long term concerns over a Mitch and KP pairing defensively. But yeah sure it would be solid. I'm just not sold on KP as a long term number 1 and I don't think he's raised his value around the league since we dealt him. We still wouldn't be bale to get Fox, Mitchell, AD with him as trade bait today
We traded a guy in his early 20’s who When on the court the worst thing you can say about him is “you’re not sure if he can be a number 1” on a contender which can be said for about everyone in the league sans 3 or 4 guys for two picks that are gonna be in the 20’s do you realize how historically bad that is?
Do you know how many mediocre players can get you a pick in the mid to high 20’s?
We traded at the very least a very good player for a salary dump. I bet you there’s never been as young and talented a player as KP ever traded for a salary dump and there won’t be one again.
What the Knick did was unprecedented
If I am not much mistaken, then Lakers traded DLo to dump Mozgov?

Zion and KP look great. At least the Knicks have stiff robot RJ and the can't shoot PG brothers

I wouldn’t put D’angelo in KP’s class in terms of huge potential. But yeah that was a salary dump of a talented young player

It's pretty obvious KP is gonna be a superstar, and all we got to show for it is Dennis Smith lol

His rebounding and passing is the most surprising.

KP is glad he's gone too.
And for the record, Janis is back in Latvia. Has been all year. So much for him being a 'cancer'.

The rebounding stuff was always overdone. He's a little stronger now, but always blocked out. On the Knicks he didn't care about who actually picked up the defensive board as long as someone did. And various artists (from Kanter on back) needed to more than him. On the Mavs he's decied to hoover them up when possible and Luka didn't get there first, because he's understood that was part of a narrative.
The passing - well he had literally just started getting double teamed a couple of weeks before the injury, so he was just starting to learn. Now he's pretty decent. Nowhere near Jokic level, but reasonable for a big with excellent hands.

I think Giannis will ask to be traded to Knicks if Bucks are beaten in a convincing fashion in the playoffs again. This Lakers game is a preview of what's to come in the playoffs.

Giannis signs here as FA, with RJ and Anthony Edwards.

Not that Giannis is coming here anyway but I hope Warriors end up with the fifth pick in this year’s draft.
