We have decent chance to jump up only if we stay in top 10 range.
Let's see where we are at after next 10 games.

I love everyone in the top 5 of this draft. I don’t think you can go wrong with anyone of them.

:banghead:

this is the most I've ever wanted a top 5 pick

because the strategy of trying to be competitive when it's clear they're not good enough has worked so well over the last 2 decades....

just gonna hope with the depth of the draft the scouts hit on a winner anyway. looks like they did with IQ. that's assuming they even keep the picks.

I'm hoping if we don't get lucky w/ top 4 that we'll at least have a shot of Bouknight. I think he has great potential as the 3-level scorer who can shoot off the dribble that we need

Wouldn't trade picks for Dipo (or even go after him in FA) and I don't see the Wizards trading us Beal (within the division) or the Bulls trading Lavine. if/when either does hit the market, I think they'd be traded out west

I’m actually not too stress about the pick cuz I still think we end up with a lottery pick. Toronto and the Heat are gonna catch us eventually and probably the Hawks too. Or you would think so after all that money they spent this year. I’m sure we’ll get a better idea of that tmrw when we play them. We’ll get lucky eventually.

Yeah, wherever the pick lands it lands. This really isn't a typical "playing the vets at the expense of the kids for wins" Knicks season. If it were, then yeah I'd be pissed. You have RJ Mitch and quickley all developing. Obi would clearly be playing more if Randle wasn't playing at an all star level, and there's a learning curve there anyway. Rose has been great for him so far tho and his minutes should increase a bit without Mitch.

I'd have more issues with frank and knox falling out of the rotation if we weren't playing well overall. I still think there's a chance they get another shot. Then you also have the mavs pick and I don't think them making the playoffs is guaranteed at all. On top of that we no have flattened lottery odds. Wouldn't be surprised at all if we have 2 lottery picks when it's all said and done.

MIA & TOR should be in and maybe ATL but CHA might fall out.
We will be in hunt all the way.
I wish my Knicks all the success but just not this season.

has there ever been such a clear top 5 in a draft? every mock has cade/suggs/mobley/green/kuminga in some order.

Not that I remember because drafts usually don’t have this much talent. Those five guys would all go first over Anthony Edwards last year.

Conversely, LaMelo would still be top 3 in this class for me.

47% FT

Clarke: 43% FG
Boston: 37% FG

Clarke’s handle is also much better imo and a better shot creator. Anybody can improve their free throws. Look at RJ this season. His FT % is the least of my concerns right now. I am looking at Clarke purely from an upside point of view.

Really? That's interesting cause I see it completely the other way. BJ being the one who is much better at getting to where he wants & creating space for his shot...even if he hasn't been hitting them.

I’m not seeing it. Boston’s handle seems pretty shaky right now and most of his points are basically spot up 3’s. Clarke’s handle seems much tighter imo.
