Guessing with how the world works these days we will soon hear "Knicks looking to move ____" ahead of the deadline. They have a little less than a month, which is ample time.

Really, really hoping the Knicks don't use McBride or Grimes in a deal. They have some real potential to blossom with more playing time and development.

Randle and Burks for Simmons. Randle trying to play like Simmons anyway, but without the defense.

I still think Turner is the most likely move and believe the rumors about the Knicks wanting him. But not sure who goes.

Hawks will probably waive Knox and open up 2 roster spots. Either way they opened up a roster spot with adding Hill in the trade.

The Hawks are going to make a big move at the deadline or earlier. Their GM has been on record as being unhappy with the roster and direction of the team. This trade is going to be part of a bigger move.

I guarantee you that doesn't happen.

Obi has arguably more allies in the FO than Randle. He is younger, cheaper, easier to build around as his game isn’t as clunky a fit with other players as Randle. He has never rocked the boat or offended the fan base. In fact he is a clear fan fav. To boot, he isn’t viewed as a possible “mistake” by the guy running the show. I don’t think Obi is the goner that the narrative is running with today.

Julius is lately being patted on the ass for running around setting screens and moving the ball like a hustle PF, who can’t shoot but can facilitate. Only that’s not what he got paid for. His confidence is shot and it wavers on makes/misses. I’m pretty sure he has the yips and his mental makeup is not built for NYC. Leon knows this. He just has to find the right sucker. Jules is outta here. It’s a mere matter of time.

I’ve seen so many players not be able to perform in NY. You don’t just recover from that. Jules only time performing there was literally no one on the arenas.

Everyone here knows Obi is my guy. You dont gotta sell me on him, but the most important ally he needs is Thibs and he hates him it seems.

Of course Id move Julius before Obi but I dont think that will happen. Obi still wouldn’t play much more if Julius got traded most likely lol.

Something just has to give at some point because Obi hasnt even gotten the minutes that Frank, Knox, and many other Knicks scrubs have gotten. He cant play 10 mpg the next 3 years.

Thibs ain’t the President of Basketball Ops tho.

Thibs coaching for his life game to game tryna get blood from a rock. Leon Rose will not let Thibs desperation override his career aspirations. Thibs is more married to Randle than Rose will ever be.

precisely. leon's job is to create synergy between the front office, head coach, and roster makeup

Knicks fans are too easy to please. Any trade any draft pick and it's full blown green arrow level of enthusiasm. You people have no phucking standards.

That owner for the Giants gets it. They have standards. If they're not met everyone can GTFO.

Knicks fans.. any trade will satisfy us daddy Dolan.

From a basketball perspective it makes no sense. It's definitely not a move that says they're serious about winning a championship. A move to satisfy the fans so maybe they get distracted and stop fighting with randle during the games while making Barrett happy to play with his friend again.

People be tryna rationalize a temporary roster glut by mismanaging cheap assets and proposing to jettison talent prematurely.

The very reason you all think the Knicks won the Hawks trade is the precise reason you want to trade Obi at a loss in value today due to Cams arrival.

Yay, let’s win a trade where we acquire a high potential talent on the cheap, then immediately turn around and trade one of our own high potential talents (Obi) just because we see a temp numbers crunch. Let’s do what the Hawks just did!

Yay!!!
