Bojan would add to that level as a high quality starter who is coming off the bench. I know he will be 35 this year but he is only on the books for 1 year after this so it's not a long term investment, they are only giving up Fournier and sweetening the deal for Detroit by giving their own assets back that they value more than anyone else.

They're not. I can't understand the notion that the Knicks are 1 piece away from being a contender while saying the current team is built for a championship run. Bojan isn't that one piece.

Knicks only have 3 starters playing over 30 minutes a game and one of them is JB. You can maybe get Bojan 8-12 minutes? I don't see it working out.

What about injuries tho? Can’t just look at overall mpg on average. Brunson and Randle played over 35 minutes in 3 of the past 5 games, Hart played 43 minutes against Boston. Boj is gunna be 35 years old by the playoffs too… I don’t see him crying about not playing major minutes every night. Having him would also ensure we aren’t devastated by an injury or two in the playoffs like last year.

They are built on the collective that the team as a whole can put enough points on the board and hold the opposition back enough on defense to win. That is all the game of basketball is about. We have 4 guys that can score 20+ on any given night and a bench unit of high IQ glue pieces. Bogdonovic would be another guy that can play multiple positions, high IQ, can create for himself, is a legit 3 point threat and plays winning ball.

I mean, is Bojan worth dropping Evan's contract and a couple of 2nd rounders for injury protection? He also hasn't played this season due to calf injury. Doesn't sound like a resounding endorsement.

Absolutely. I’d make that trade in a heartbeat. That could be the difference between winning and losing a round in the PO. And yea, him recovering from his own injury is all the more reason why I don’t see his limited minutes being an issue.

A couple 2nd rounders and an expiring for someone who could save us from disaster is a no brainer imo. Imagine Randle and RJ hurt at the same time during a playoff series… is Hart gunna play 48 minutes a night at pf? We gunna go back to playing two centers at once?

Depth is one of the most crucial things to have for success in this game. And having someone as skilled and lights out as Boj? Shiiiiiit, we could only be so lucky.

Forget Bojan. LaVine and his 4 year 170-ish million contract can probably be had for pretty 'cheap' considering the Bulls are finally facing the reality they need to tear down the roster.

His contract sticks out like a sore thumb for a potentially rebuilding team and the upcoming CBA. Vucecic is reasonable, DeMarrs expires. Its Lavine's that needs to go badly.

You send them IQ, Fournier and a pick or 2. IQ fits the rebuild much better as his contract won't be nearly as high as Lavine and is younger.

You either keep LaVine or flip him to Cleveland for Mitchell.

IQ's probably a better two-way player than Lavine and he fits our roster better because of his defense.

The team might regress with just a straight swap.

Forget using IQ to get an injury prone one dimensional sg on a bloated contract. Makes no sense on several levels.

Grimes and Divincenzo at the 2 complement LaVine defensively.

They should be the one giving us multiple firsts to take him if we are giving them IQ who is the much better player and I could roll out an assload of stats that show this but I don’t feel like it

We could do TPE and SRP for Gallo if we wanted to.

Lavine is a 25 pt game player who is an excellent shooter who can create his own shot. Couple him woth Grimes and Devincenzo or even Hart at the 2 and you have a great shooting guard rotation. I love Quickley but he will probably never be as good offensively as Lavine. I dont hold this year's production against him as the team is a mess right now.

How about Quentin Grimes for Tari Eason? Both have similar skill-sets but at different positions. Not sure if the value is about even or if a pick is needed to balance it out but it seems like a way to balance out both rosters.

For the Knicks, they can start Donte at the 2 and have Tari provide some good depth at the 3/4.

For the Rockets, they have a ton of 3/4s and could use more guard depth. With Grimes, they get a home-town prospect who can provide nice depth, hit the 3, and play great defense.

I would prefer to trade Grimes over Quickley. But unless they get kind of desperate to shed the player and contract (which they might) ...I dunno if Grimes, Fournier and a couple first round picks would be enough. I feel like we have a very strong culture and clubhouse and LaVine would welcome coming here and not be an issue from a attitude standpoint. His agency doesnt love CAA but I don't think he personally has an issue with this team.

Quickley is a very good player but he is not Zach Lavine offensively.

a little bit of smoke with the Pistons right now and Cade. Not saying they have any intention of trading him, but he might shake loose if they’re continue to be as bad and they could just want draft picks back for him.
