Some combination of Kolek, Dadiet, Huk , rights to Rokas and FRPs or SRPs can get it done esp for Nick Richards.

From your lips to Rose's ears

Those Rokas rights are solid gold though

I mean I believe some combination of above would even be enough for Kessler but I guess we will soon find out.

On Mitch he is an absolute stud rim protector. We have enough offense right now to totally compensate for his lack of offense and he would only be the 5 part of the game. You get the other guy bc of Mitch's injury history, otherwise you wouldn't even need the extra 5.

Mitch's contribution to an offense is underestimated. Having the best offensive rebounder in the league increases your second chance opportunities. It doesn't add to Mitch's points unless he does a putback, but it does increase our team's PPG. That factor alone can easily be the margin of victory.

i forget where i heard it but the deal was something like that for nick richards and josh green. i like it because green fits the mold of 3 and D players with athleticism that we like. i think it might need to include precious though to make salary work (or mitch i forget)

agreed. there are layers to it. he sets really good screens and his roll to the rim takes up space for the ball handler to operate.

another thing is his presence on the offensive boards forces the defense to gang rebound more - which by default helps the knicks transition defense.

This is actually insane when you think about how many players are having a worse FG% than KATs 3 point percentage

Criminal he isn't shooting at least 8 3s a game.

It’s sad bro, what Jalen do to him??

Randle prolly thinks that Brunson signed off on shipping his @ss out so he is resentful to him.

As a mature adult sometimes we have to chalk it up to business is business. Storming out without acknowledging your old teammates is just another example of Randles inability to regulate his emotions.

noDope mentioned this in the game thread when it happened - it was hilarious to hear the crowds collective frustration as Randles brain short circuited. I really don't miss watching him turn into a puddle on every double.

He's playing better than last year's guy -- I'm referring to iHart, who did a great job. But KAT is clearly better. I can't wait to see them head to head.

If the Knicks wait until some magic date in February, can they eject Ryan into the sun and have Warren on the team instead?

Technically, ejecting an 80 kg mass into the sun is very expensive. OTOH, dropping him into a huge black hole (Brooklyn team?) is very efficient.

He doesn't get a third of the calls Embiid get and that has been so frustrating to watch, dude would be scoring another 3-5 PPG every year if he got calls for being hacked and whacked.

Where to from here for you guys? Randle moved on?

I'm not throwing in the towel on the season. The team has shown some nice improvement in the last ten games. I still think they can get it together have a solid season. That said, the team isn't nearly as fun to watch and the ceiling currently doesn't feel as high.

Wolves got a lot to figure out, this offense is horrible. Conely has taken a huge step back, may be cooked at 37. Gobert has also taken a step back though he has recently had some flashes of last seasons form. I think the chemistry is just really funky right now and has to be figured out.

Longer term, we need better PG play and spacing. Spacing can improve form within right now a bit but some moves are probably needed to get this team humming much better. I don't know if Randle will be here long term but that could still be a possibility depending on what moves are made. I don't blame our woes all on Randle, like some do, though he has been part of the problem too.

I felt bad seeing Julius getting so mental over the game. He seemed to forget how to win and tried to do it singlehandedly, until he couldn't. I had hoped being on the T-Wolves, with less media pressure and a good change of scenery, would be right for him. But Thibs had him playing a lot better and more under control last year before he went down.

I also look at Divo and think he's depressed. He's a young man and he didn't just get traded to a new team. All of his best friends in the world are in NY, and now he's away from them.

Yeah, I agree Conelly is on the way down. But Ant is young, so coaching should be able to get him and the team on the same page and doing a lot better. Gobert is still a great defender, but he doesn't match up will with KAT. So adding help D against him should be more effective. It takes time even for good teams to adjust to changes in personnel - even when the change is for the better.

Watching this game again right now on one of those bootlegged sites and this type of offensive execution looks like they were practicing and working on this during those several days off.

It's something beautiful. Guys know exactly where to be and the passer knows exactly where the cutters and shooters will be.

I hope it continues tonight.

If they can take the Pels seriously, it should continue. I'm sure they practiced a lot, but also they're getting to know one another really well. They seem to all like each other, too. So I look forward to more improvement over time.

Ever since Rose got to NY he's had R***** on the trading block, stop with this fanfic you making up in your head.

It's not made up fan fiction. Randle wasn't the easiest teammate to play with.

The EXTRA time most definitely translated to improved chemistry with focused things they got to do in practice!

Its was a sight to see.

Kinda sounds like made up fan fiction when you blame Brunson for having Randle and his boy Donte traded away. Brunson doesn't give off that vibe at all.

Randle used to do the same thing here though. He had certain players/teams he would try to go one on one against like Sabonis. He is a knucklehead and he thinks he's LeBron. He is not a winning player. He's a guy who wants the ball at all times and thinks he can for ISO hero and it doesn't work out as much as he thinks it should.

Glad he's gone. His self image is not on par with reality. He is not an all star superstar player. He was a good albeit inefficient player feasting on bad teams. High usage led to all of his awards but, they didn't lead to team success at the highest levels. It took players like Rose and Brunson to get the most out of him and the teams he was on. He's a bus rider who thinks he should be driving.

Ultimately, he has the physical skills to be very good, but his approach to the game limits his value. Thibs got the best he could from him, but he must have signed off on the trade. So now I wish him luck and genuinely hope he finds peace and a sense of belonging, but I'm on Team KAT since the trade.
