i forget where i heard it but the deal was something like that for nick richards and josh green. i like it because green fits the mold of 3 and D players with athleticism that we like. i think it might need to include precious though to make salary work (or mitch i forget)

agreed. there are layers to it. he sets really good screens and his roll to the rim takes up space for the ball handler to operate.

another thing is his presence on the offensive boards forces the defense to gang rebound more - which by default helps the knicks transition defense.

Horrendous game to be at as a Wolves fan. KAT actually got a solid whistle tonight, if he is able to get the same whistle most star players get his numbers will be through the roof. He doesn't get a third of the calls Embiid get and that has been so frustrating to watch, dude would be scoring another 3-5 PPG every year if he got calls for being hacked and whacked.

Where to from here for you guys? Randle moved on?

I'm not throwing in the towel on the season. The team has shown some nice improvement in the last ten games. I still think they can get it together have a solid season. That said, the team isn't nearly as fun to watch and the ceiling currently doesn't feel as high.

Wolves got a lot to figure out, this offense is horrible. Conely has taken a huge step back, may be cooked at 37. Gobert has also taken a step back though he has recently had some flashes of last seasons form. I think the chemistry is just really funky right now and has to be figured out.

Longer term, we need better PG play and spacing. Spacing can improve form within right now a bit but some moves are probably needed to get this team humming much better. I don't know if Randle will be here long term but that could still be a possibility depending on what moves are made. I don't blame our woes all on Randle, like some do, though he has been part of the problem too.

I felt bad seeing Julius getting so mental over the game. He seemed to forget how to win and tried to do it singlehandedly, until he couldn't. I had hoped being on the T-Wolves, with less media pressure and a good change of scenery, would be right for him. But Thibs had him playing a lot better and more under control last year before he went down.

I also look at Divo and think he's depressed. He's a young man and he didn't just get traded to a new team. All of his best friends in the world are in NY, and now he's away from them.

Yeah, I agree Conelly is on the way down. But Ant is young, so coaching should be able to get him and the team on the same page and doing a lot better. Gobert is still a great defender, but he doesn't match up will with KAT. So adding help D against him should be more effective. If they can take the Pels seriously, it should continue. I'm sure they practiced a lot, but also they're getting to know one another really well. They seem to all like each other, too. So I look forward to more improvement over time.

He is not a winning player. He's a guy who wants the ball at all times and thinks he can for ISO hero and it doesn't work out as much as he thinks it should.

Glad he's gone. His self image is not on par with reality. He is not an all star superstar player. He was a good albeit inefficient player feasting on bad teams. High usage led to all of his awards but, they didn't lead to team success at the highest levels. It took players like Rose and Brunson to get the most out of him and the teams he was on. He's a bus rider who thinks he should be driving.

Ultimately, he has the physical skills to be very good, but his approach to the game limits his value. Thibs got the best he could from him, but he must have signed off on the trade. So now I wish him luck and genuinely hope he finds peace and a sense of belonging, but I'm on Team KAT since the trade.
