Definitely agree. That's actually one of the reasons I participate in this thing. Gives you a deeper understanding of how your fellow posters think and their overall basketball knowledge. Not to mention, it forces you to learn more about players in the league you otherwise wouldn't follow and you develop a certain respect for their game without any fan-driven biases.

Absolutely. Btw I'm glad you referred to me as "this 'smh' dude." Means I'm starting to be known by name.

What do you think of my pick of Russell Westbrook, bro?

Haha, everytime I see a post by you, your name makes me think of the acronym for "shaking my head" LOL

Westbrook is a beast in the Derrick Rose mold offensively, only he's even better defensively. He's an excellent pick at your slot based off pure talent and athleticism alone. Add to that the deep playoff experience and he gets the added bonus of being battle-tested. You always need ball-dominant players who can take over a critical game down the stretch. Westbrook gives you that.

Yeah me too...me too.

And don't get me wrong, I think he's a great pick. I actually expected him to go right after my pick at 12.

^ I think the biggest task will be finding an uglier PG than Sam Cassel.

I bid you good luck in that journey.

Yup, thanks. You pretty much summed up exactly why I took him. I think he makes for a superb franchise cornerstone. And now he gets to be the leader of his own team, a team I'm really excited to build.

Passed on Dirk due to age also. Hes still great but he is clearly on the decline.

Same. He was my backup plan if Westbrook wasn't available, though.

^ It was just the condensed season. If that's the case, Melo is on the decline also. And even on his "decline" his numbers were still more efficient and better than Melo's. 8-)

 you cant even try to compare the turmoil of Melos season with dirk. dirk is just getting old, thats how things work. Melo is not on the decline as evidenced by him destroying the entire league the last month of the season. that was the real melo when he is in a comfort zone and injury free.

So how did Melo do in the playoffs numbers wise in his comfort zone and injury free?

One month doesn't erase the whole season for Melo. Dirk is still better overall and has good years ahead of him.

sent you an e-mail with my picks. i may have something going on with kneega, but i'd only be moving up 10 spots from my early 3rd rounder for it. i'm more interested in an early 2nd rounder

plus i have plenty of 4th round picks to throw around, plus, 2 8th and 2 9th

matched up against the best defensive and most favored team in the league without a starting point guard shooting guard and an injured stoudemire? Not as bad as you probably think 28 points 8 boards a game in 42% shooting. Melos poor half of a turmoil filled lockout season does not erase the previous 8 years. Players dont decline at 27. Dirk is on the way down I dont know how you can debate that.

Man why do some people get so butt-hurt that I don't accept their trades? Then when I politely decline AND state my reason, I get pestered and pestered and get called out as a bad GM to deal with. Everyone who's a BAT vet knows what I'm about...
