So the Celtics passed on Fultz and drafted Tatum instead. But went out today and signed Hayward?

You hear that Boston? Formidable!

Not even close. Not even close to being close in Melo's favor. Young Melo would give you 40 on his sleep.

Melo was a Knick at 27.

I'm of the opinion Melo peaked at 23-25 years old. When he had that speed he was unstoppable.

Nuggets were my 2nd favorite team those years and Melo my favorite player to watch when he was Prime Nugget. Hes the reason I got into college basketball because of all the hype he had. Reminds me sort of like Spreewell when he was a Warrior. He was a great Knick , but he was a different animal as a Warrior.

Melo when he was more quick/explosive and was able to play his bully ball... So fun to watch .

Hayward is in the same tier as Jimmy Butler and PG13 If you ask me. Both are better, but he deserves to be in that convo now

No he doesn't. Too bad they both went West.

PG had a really down year. Everyone forgets he really wasn't PG13 last year.

Hayward improved significantly with the 3 and defensively.

Jimmy is clearly better, but Hayward isn't far behind anymore. He's underrated in Utah with a team that has a slow pace.

PG didn't have a down year. He had a normal year - y'all just finally realized he wasn't that good. Offensively he's Rudy Gay but defensively he's great so everyone assumes he's great on offense.

Hayward is probably better than PG13 but Jimmy is on another level from both of them. Jimmy needs to be mentioned with Kawhi and KD not those two. He's a legit superstar.

Ainge shouldn't have been so tight with his assets and signed Butler.

Wake up Steve. Either Melo to Boston or to Cleveland with Love to Boston.

Melo to Cavs for Love then we flip Love to the highest bidder.

Doubt the Cavs are trading Love for Melo.

There are no high bidders for Love. We've been hearing all along the last month that no one in the league wants Love. If we get him then we're stuck with him for now.

How? since Butler is "on another level" and Hayward is "better" in your opinion -- All that comes on my mind is

They still need size. They nearly lost to Chicago because of their lack of size and they got handled by the Cavs for the same reason. Accumulating 2s and 3s makes no sense as long as your main scorer remains undersized and you've got nobody to properly defend the paint.

Not impressed by Ainge until dude finds a legit center.

They have 2 potential top 5 picks next year a ton of assets their sitting in an awesome position for the future..why people are saying it's not a good move because they won't win the title next year is so dumb and short sighted but as Knick fans I guess that's all we know in trying to build a team..

If Anthony Davis becomes available they'd be far and away the favorites to land him.

The Celtics are gonna be damn good for a long time and it sucks but there's no reason to try to spin it negatively ax Knick fans..it just makes us look bitter

Gasol would be a terrific pick up for them. I still think they should target a guy like KP because they want to build a "dynasty" that could stay together for a good 6-7 years and Gasol probably has 2-3 prime years left, at most.

I'm not sold on Hayward long term, their 1st option just got exposed in the playoffs, and they still lack a proper big. Of course they have great potential, nobody's denying that fact and it's looking really good for them, but there's a whole lot of work yet to be done before actually being able to contend.
