Not to get into a whole Rose/Not Rose thing regarding the Knicks.
Rose played well in a certain way last year. To me, he played well as a somewhat ball dominant SG who had good passing skills - for a SG. Or a scoring PG with below average PG vision.
Either way, he seemed pretty suited to being a scoring guard off the bench on a good team, where his role would allow him to dominate the ball, yet have the ability to create. Plus, the Cavs lost Irving and Rose is better than JR Smith in that "comes in to score off the bench" role.
It could be argued Rose would have put up somewhat better stats on the Knicks if they ran a more P&R offense instead of the triangle.
Rose will put up some nice stats this year and contribute on a good team but it's because LeBron and Wade know what they are doing and he'll defer to them, that the team does well.
Good signing by the Cavs. Best place he could have gone for him and for them.
