Khem Birch plays behind Vuc and still gets minutes.

Bamba is going to lose his minutes to Chuma Okeke next season and eventually all the excuses for him will come to an end when folks realize he's just not that good

Bamba is on a 15-20 min restriction because of stress fracture stuff + playing behind Vuc. The Magic are traditionally super conservative with young players/injury prone young players.

Khem is a DNP when both Vuc/Bamba are healthy and only got minutes when Vuc was injured as a starter. They wanted Bamba to play off the bench so he can play with the players he's used to playing with. The issue is he plays with a midget in DJ Augustin who dribbles the air out of the ball, MCW, and Terrence Ross who is legit as a scorer but doesn't really pass.

Chuma has no impact at all on Bamba's position and will play backup SF/PF behind Gordon or Isaac..

Again, Bamba isn't without his faults but to say he's a bust is simply not true. He's been important to the Magic defensively off the bench and when the team looks for him, has had some solid games offensively but obviously he can improve in the paint/FT/etc.

I agree that its probably not fair for you to have your offseason held up. Its a challenging situation because if we think about removing Miami we might have to think about doing the same with other GM's who haven't been around in a month too.

I think because we have an extra long offseason bish is being a bit more patient because we haven't had any major dates missed (like the draft or FA).

I know people have more important things to do but checking in every once in in a while should be a requirement for an ownder here. I think Slicin handled it the best...he said he will have little chance to be around this summer but he will try to check in. That is all we can ask for. Its not just MIA though.

this is the first offseason for bird rights. Depnding on the impact there it could change the entire outlook of the hard reset. Because that 5th year could be huge for the top players.

Like if someone goes 5 year $400-$500 for the top players does that mean a team that can only offer 4 years have to go $50-$100 more per year to cover that extra year?

That is true, I suspect a lot of TOP tier players will be able to stay with their original teams but regardless there's going to be a **** of movement and people will have to decide how they value their 2nd best players because some other teams probably won't mind paying them #1 sort of money.

yup that will be where it could be difficult to retain players. If a team has 2 good players and has to pay up for 1...he might not be willing to pay up for the 2nd...when another team might not be bringing back a top tier guy so they can pay the 2nd best player #1 player value.

once I weed out all the ones I don't want to keep long term I should have enough to send a few $500 bids to players I like.

Yeah for sure. In retrospect the original auction should've staggered contracts (maybe mirroring IRL contract lengths for all stars/starters or something) so that there's legit value in every draft instead of one year that just has like 80% of the league expiring + a lot of superstars in it. On the other hand, it should be wildly entertaining lol.

But to be fair I don't think anybody anticipated a league lasting this long so that's a credit to everybody participating and of course bish.

it would be nice but its not going to happen. If anything I think it goes up just for the fact so many of our GM's are great at poaching these D-league guys that are ready to break out. We have a lot of areally good cheap contracts out there and I think people are more confident then ever to fill out the bench with little to spend.

Hezi with some of his dirt cheap depth
Pooch with duncan robinson
Kendrick Nunn is been moved a few times but he is a $1 player
Slicin with Spencer Dinwiddee

Guys have got so good pin pointing and finding these guys and scooping them up they have more flexibility to overpay the star. I think we are drivnig a larger gap between star and roll players.


Like $20-$30 role player is considered expensive in this league
