47% FT

Clarke: 43% FG
Boston: 37% FG

Clarke’s handle is also much better imo and a better shot creator. Anybody can improve their free throws. Look at RJ this season. His FT % is the least of my concerns right now. I am looking at Clarke purely from an upside point of view.

47% FT is terrible for a wing prospect.

Wanna know why it’s worse than BJ’s 37% FG? Cuz there’s no one actually guarding Clarke at the FT line.

At least an argument for BJ can be made that he needs to get stronger to help him finish. Yet for all of BJ’s 3pt shooting struggles (29%), even there he still bests Clarke’s 3pt percentage (22%).

Clarke just has horrible shooting percentages and the odds of him becoming better at it doesn’t look as promising as BJ, considering BJ’s FT shooting is a healthy 79%.

But hey, Clarke supposedly has a better handle so...
I agree Clarke is better creating shots for others, but that’s about it. I consider Boston the better long term prospect and I am sure his eventual draft pick slot will indicate GM’s see it the same way as well.

Right now the Knicks are 3 games out of a bottom 5 record but they are also 3 games out of a top 10 record so this season in the NBA is a big muddle in the middle and something like an injury or a hot streak can change alot in the end.....plus, ping pong balls.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

You say all of this but yet you wanted the Knicks to draft Okoro who can’t shoot at all and is one of the worst players in the league

Knox had a solid shooting % too and look how he turned out. Now I think Boston will be better than him but he’ll probably just end up as someone like Cam Reddish.

Idgaf if gm’s or scouts think Boston is better. Those same scouts missed on IQ.

You kinda clapping yourself here tho. Cuz if Okoro “can’t shoot at all and is one of the worst players in the league”, considering he had a much more efficient freshman college year than Clarke, that bodes terribly for Clarke in the NBA. So you basically saying Clarke is China bound?

Spoiler:
Image

Knox turned out shaky due to a terrible developmental plan by Fiz the first year, then a choke chain and short leash his 2nd year. Knox has shown improvement but now the timing is just bad as we are tryna win now and have too many productive veteran wing bodies in front of him.

You making me schit on Clarke more than I really want to. I don’t dislike him. I just think BJ Boston will be better when all is said and done. And I certainly don’t think Clarke is a sure fire 1st round pick if he comes out. He may actually stay in school another year. He has some big hurdles to clear in the shooting department. But he is a good secondary playmaker and he has length, especially as a ball handler. But right now he is a terrible shooter and he needs to prove he can improve in that area.

Boston, you just know eventually he will be a pro level scorer on the wing. I can’t say that is a definite with Clarke. He don’t have that same mentality to get buckets as BJ. He seem content to be a complimentary player.

Bad move for Clarke if he comes out this year. His season is over due to injury and play wise it was a bad one. Come back next year.

Terrence Clarke is a much better prospect than Okoro. That's why I bring it up. Clarke hasn't even been healthy all year long. So you judging him too harhsly.

F*ck Knox. He mad inconsistent.

I am not sold on Boston being eventually a pro level scorer. That's what people said about Cam Reddish. They share the same similarities. Now I am not against drafting Boston cause I see his potential, but I just think Clarke is a lot better. I see Clarke being the steal of the draft.

Clarke is most likely going to the draft. Depending on where our picks are in the 1st round, I am looking at Clarke as a fall back option if we miss out on the top guys in this draft. Now am I reaching? Probably. I'd still take the risk. I think long term, he's gonna be a monster scorer. Better than Boston.

Good thing you ain’t a scout. Take those metrics in to your GM and pound the table on it. You’d better be right, cuz if you don’t hit it’ll be costing you your job.

That’s one helluva limb/hunch to go out on. Melo done went full eye test. It’s 2021...never go full eye test.

A plethora of wing prospects have struggled initially with a sub 40% FG and went on to have productive careers.

But 47% free throws is Ben Wallace territory!
And for a wing, yikes!

22% 3PT is like below Ronnie Brewer standards. eeEekk!

Never know. Mavs pick May bounce our way. No lock to make the playoffs and, frankly, neither are we. We are due for some big time lottery luck. I mean no law says we can’t ride this out, develop the kids, just miss and add Green and Kuminga via the lottery. It would be an appropriate payback for a lot of woes.

Exactly.... also with multiple picks we might get lucky and move up by consolidating them. Right now there is a clear top 5, but that is before the tournament and the combine where other kids might shine and we’re looking at teams being ok moving back a few spots for the extra draft capital.

Jalen Green looked very good today. Really impressed with him

Nix played phenomenally the entire 4th quarter. Played Allonzo well on defense, hit big shots, had some huge assists and ran the court well as off the ball when Jack initiated it. He has good size for a PG.
