Oh if Kemba can carry that through to this season, man, the Garden is going to be rocking. Randle won't have to try to do everything himself and could take another step as a no.1b or no.2
To add to this, Kemba hurt his other knee in Game 2 of the Nets series. He was doing better but had that setback. Hopefully he's fully healed now (as healed as he was before that other knee injury).

Man, people forgot that Randle was gassed at the end of the playoffs. Rose was huffing and puffing.
Hopefully injuries will be at a minimum so we can make a good run.

Re: Woj Kemba buying out of okc signing with NYC
In the playoffs he shot 31% from the field and 17% from 3 averaging 12 PPG and 4 APG. That looks pretty washed to me.
Healthy kemba is good, hurt kemba in the playoffs is not. So let’s see if he stays healthy. Good thing it’s just for 2 years so it doesn’t really hurt us if he can’t stay healthy.

Old Knicks wouldn’t have waited for him to be bought out. We’d have traded RJ, IQ and a first round pick for him on his Celtics contract. Now we get him for cheap and if he stays healthy he will be playing for his next big contract. Definitely a good move. I feel better about this off-season now.

From bums like Payton, DSJ, and the gawd frank
To Kemba, Rose, and Vildoza. Probably the best point guard rotation in my Knicks fan lifetime lol.

Yep if Walker can get back to even being 80% of prime Walker and with the addition of Fournier it should give guys like Randle and Rose more room to not have to play and do so much come playoff time. You want each player to stay within their comfort zone so they can produce optimally. Expecting Randle to be a Lebron type guy and Rose to play big minutes took both of them out of their comfort zone and it showed miserably. With the addition of these 2 guys hopefully neither Randle nor Rose has to do that. They play within their comfort zone and the team should perform much better.

If all it would cost is the combined role players that the Knicks signed and some (not all) future draft assets I'd do it. Eggs are where they are...right or wrong.

Re: Woj Kemba buying out of okc signing with NYC
It is dicey with PGs over 30 and sometimes they decline fast. Kemba does look on the decline.
But even so, this was well worth the risk. Even if Kemba is in decline it is already baked into his contract. If he still has some gas in the tank then he is a difference maker. Plus we have depth so we can manage his minutes.
