The Toronto Raptors blew out the Los Angeles Lakers for a 118-96 road win at the Staples Center. It was a game in which they never trailed and led by as many as 29 points.

Five Raptors scored in double-figures, with seven players scoring 8 points or more. Led by Michael Porter Jr. again erupting offensively, and Derrick White stuffing the stat sheet, Toronto bounced back from a disappointing prior road loss against the Utah Jazz.

The defense got back on track by holding the Lakers below the 100 point mark, with Victor Wembanyama tallying a season-high 8 blocked shots.

Toronto’s record improves to 44-11, holding firm on their Atlantic Division lead and maintaining the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference. The Raptors are winners of 20 of their last 22, having played their final game before the All-Star break.

On my phone so haven't gotten a chance to dig deep but last time I checked the stats.

I think Kyrie, SGA, Jalen Williams, Giannis, Jokic should be the western conference starters.

You can make case for Donovan Mitchell as well but Kyrie has been ridiculous this year.

Honorably mention to Wemby because of all the defensive metrics as well.

Ima advocate for my players if no one else will lol

Tatum and Bam both are averaging 20+ PTS as a duo in the SIM and have historically been a winning duo for years with a championship and a bunch of ECF appearances . Imo they should be all star because of big numbers they are putting up which are also justified by the amount of winning they've been doing every year

Curious to see if Toronto will get any All-Star love. We don’t have any player with top scoring rank #’s since the offense is so balanced.

But Gobert leads the league in rebounds and Wemby leads the league in blocks. Gobert is 2nd in the league in double-doubles.

Toronto as a team leads the league in lowest opponent FG% and 3P%.

Toronto ranks Top 2 in rebounds, Top 3 in assists, and Top 6 in offense.

Top 3 W-L record in BaF despite playing in the tougher Eastern Conference (West teams have easier comp facing more tanking teams).

We’ll see if these factors equate to any player recognition despite lack of gaudy individual #’s.

Hey BaF fam, I’m here to advocate for our franchise player Giannis Antetokounmpo to be named an All-Star starter in the Western Conference. Giannis has managed to lead this team to 3rd seed in the West while being the only player left from our active roster to start the season. That is not an easy feat. He’s been professional, consistent, reliable, dominant and flexible amidst a plethora of player movement. He’s our MVP, face of the franchise, and leader of this group.
