What are you talking about? Why in the world would Phoenix do this trade? 1 injury plagued defensive center, and a role player wing who disappears vs. the leagues non-lottery teams.

yOu GoTtA dO iT.   Sure. We need to stop LARPing here and recognize the only assets of value are Brunsons contract, OG (if he's alive) contract and ... I think we can still offer swaps on the years when the Nets don't have our picks.

You’re right about the roster being an issue, but you got the wrong team… they didn’t have Jaylen Brown and Horford

They won the championship without KP that's how deep they are. If you think both teams are equal that's the problem

you beat me to this, every time I said Mitch, "30 point difference doesn't come from 1 guy being out" pretty clear it does.

Man you guys are delusional. Sure Mitch was an impact but let's be real he played 16 minutes out of a possible 53. He wasn't the difference maker. Knicks went to KAT early and finally in game 79 of the damn season Thibs lets KAT post up the smaller defenders and it worked wonders. KAT single handedly kept us going for 3 quarters. The Knicks offense and aggressiveness looked different last game than what we have seen all season. That was the difference maker.

To be honest if you can package Mitch and Mikal in the off-season for Booker or the likes then you gotta do it.

I mean common sense would have dictated on opening night that the Celtics have no one to defend KAT so you urge him to attack them early. But **** show Thibs had him standing around at the 3 point line taking 3 shots a half and needed 79 games to figure out what any sensible person would have done right away.

The rest is just pure comedy. You have Mitch playing 16minutes and the guy is talking about 30point difference all while Brown basically does not play the second half and Horford is out.                                          Pure comedy. 2.9 seconds to go. I swear Mazzula and the Celtics were drooling all over themselves when they saw Thibs is rolling out Hart. Like you really can't make that type of **** up. Imagine putting in a guy that has been shooting 27% from 3 post all-star break while you have guys shooting 38% from 3 on the bench watching how Hart bricks that final shot. Brilliant move.

KP went 8-13 from three and they have Tatum. I'd rather have those two players, you guys would want the coach instead

Yeah. Thibs really is not a good strategic coach. The botched inbounds under the basket when he should have called a timeout. Not calling to immediately foul at the end of regulation. Putting Hart in when several better shooters were on the bench for the final shot. These things cost us games. People wanna blame the players for situations they never should have been in. They give the coach a pass. Makes no sense but, welcome aboard the short bus. Let's take the tour.

If ppl didn't support the team, they wouldn't waste their time criticizing. You're allowed to complain about the shortfalls of your team and still be a fan.

Or do we have to forever defend every single thing they do?

If we had KP he'd be posting up 75% of the time because the idiot you keep defending doesn't value the 3 point shot. Horford plays 8 less minutes than KAT and takes more threes than him. The way you glaze Tom is crazy.

KAT in the post would work better if he had four 3 point shooters to fan it out to. Rather than the center guarding Hart to be free to double KAT

You mean like how Thibs had two different players break the Knicks three point record since he's been here.

KAT was destroying Mazzulla's dumb scheme of having guards defend him in the post but you want him to stand at three point line instead where he's 4-12 in the last four games. Didnt posters just say thats what KAT was doing that was stupid in the first game vs the Celtics?

because people do OVERVALUE the 3, of the top 15 teams in the league in 3PT attempts per game, only 4 of them are in the playoffs rite now, and 5 others are in the play in, only 6/15 teams in the top 15 in attempts will end up in the playoffs and we want guys just jacking up 60 threes a game, nonsense.

My question is, if Deuce or another three point shooter was starting for Hart, or if Hart magically became a reliable three shooter, would Thibs coach offense any differently?

Last season the Knicks were 14th in threes attempted per game. The two previous seasons we were in the top ten in 3s attempted so yes.

Its more than just Hart, we dont have guys like IQ, DDV, Bojan, Grimes anymore who loved shooting threes. And you guys dont want anybody stuck in the corner shooting threes anymore so who is going to take them?

I don't think I'm part of your "you guys". I'd like KAT to shoot more threes. The offense doesn't seem able to free him up for clean looks.

DDV is missed for sure. But Hart Mitch and sometimes Precious are the rotation guys who can't shoot, the rest can all hit threes.

KAT could shoot more threes but he prefers to do the pump fake and drive to the rim. He started the AS game for the first time in his career so whatever offense they are running for him is working here.

Back when we had KP we used to criticize him for taking too many threes and not posting up. You cant win lol

the problem is that we don't have anybody on the team who prefers taking 3s to anything else. we had that with donte but we don't now. everybody would rather penetrate. thibs has said many times that he wants corner 3s and shots at the rim because he's following the analytics. it's up to them to take them.
