I probably will leave. Knicks fans are delusional as hell. Not even sure why I ventured in your forums.

This Roxin guy is an awful writer, even by sports journalism standards.

truth serum wrote:Well first off....the MODS created this thread because that's their job....not yours. Not to mention, I never understood why posters complain about a "mess" on the front page to begin with. Is it that much of a nuisance? It's not like someone took a dump in your bedroom or left their dinner plate and half a glass of soda on your coffee table. It's an internet forum. How messy can it get?

Popular/important topics get bumped to the top, and the useless ones fade into obscurity. I actually appreciate all the LeBron threads. It's what myself and everyone else (besides you) are interested in at the moment, and it's much easier to find new info in each thread as opposed to sifting through one big thread for certain details or discussions. But that's besides the point...

To be honest, it wasn't this particular post that "struck a chord". You have a habit of making condescending posts on the regular, and as a frequent visitor to this site, it's hard not to notice. You rarely have anything to offer about the Knicks or basketball in general. Instead, you seem to spend most of your time here promoting yourself as some sort of elitist...far too on-the-ball and privileged to take part in the frivolous discussions that take place here. Which begs the question- why are you here?

So while the rules of the internet afford you the right to be here and say what you'd like, whether it's chastising people for jocking LeBron or discussing him at all....I also have the right to call you out for being a dick. Carry on.

This is quite funny as you have often times complained about how the board was "too negative" during the season when we were playing horribly and took a hiatus and what not so now you're trying to say that I shouldn't/have no right to say what I want regarding an issue I have a problem with? That's cool. If I say anything that bothers somebody than I fully expect to engage in conversations with people like you or if it was truly offensive and not perceived as so by people like you than I would expect to get warnings from a MOD since that is their job but I haven't gotten any warnings because in reality my posts are no more offensive than a lot of post we see on the board everyday.

You seem to have selective memory concerning my posting history. If you want you can frequent the Playoff Discussion thread, The Draft Talk thread, D'Antoni threads, David Lee threads, TKF's Keys to the game, even some 2010 threads. Or if you don't want to visit them than I can bring them up for you and prove you wrong. So now I promote myself as an elitist on these boards? LOL, that's a flattering opinion you have of me. Truthfully like I said before, the subject of what people talk about doesn't bother me. I find the massive amounts of Lebron threads overwhelming at times but I really didn't start saying anything until all the board flame wars started and everything seemed to get ludicrous. Not really my cup of tea, so I voiced my displeasure about it the same way posters voiced their displeasure with Guyver when he was here or how negative the board was, etc.

Seriously man, If you think I'm a dick than feel free to call me out, I really don't care. I remember I called you out back in the day on the general board because I thought you were making Knicks fans look bad with the whole "why does everybody hate us" theme, and I wasn't the only Knick fan who called you out on it. Yet you got offended, and later proclaimed you weren't a "mrpoetryNmotion guy"...which is cool. I remember I got into a spat with KnicksGod and even other posters here but I don't reciprocate hard feelings with them and they don't with me either. If you want to continue your pursuit of justice against me go ahead man, I'm about to go play some ball until the draft lottery comes on.

Uh... no we want to win like every other team in the league. DUH!

And let's see Boston has the big 4, the Lakers have Kobe, Gasol, Bynum, Artest, Odom - please explain how that's "bad" for the league. It's "bad" for the league when the city that has the best basketball fans don't have a good team. MSG was almost sold out for every game this year with a team that was 30 - 50. Even when we were out of playoff contention we still had a playoff atmosphere for home games - that's because we are excited about our young talent and the future.
Play time is over.

mrpoetryNmotion:

Two long posts from us so I won't quote. I will finish this up though by saying that I'm not exactly sure what your main point is or what you were actually trying to say in your defense, but you need not defend yourself, brotha. Truth be told, I'm not a very confrontational person in public or in cyber space, so none of this internet business matters to me as much as it may seem. That said, you do come off like a dick and I felt compelled to burn you for it this time, right or wrong as I was.

I don't think it's a matter of me having a selective memory. Please don't assume that I follow your posts closely enough to remember all of your greatest moments. I think common sense tells us that it's easier to remember someone who is more often than not, trying to punk people out. Unfortunately, that's how a lot of posters around here gain popularity (if you wanna call it that). But that's not to say that I think you're doing it intentionally. Mainly, I just think it's a) silly of you or anyone to expect this board not to be flooded with all things LeBron right now, and b) silly of you or anyone to complain about how organized the Knicks forum is or isn't in general. But I guess that's a matter of personal preference. Either way, I was in no way trying to censor you or tell you what you should or shouldn't say. I specifically said that you of course have the right to say what you please, but that I also reserve the right to think you're an ass for it.

In the end, like I stated, it really isn't that serious and so I apologize if you took my post or posts as an attack. Sometimes I just try to imagine the person behind the other computer and wonder if they would act the same way to others in a more personal setting. Food for thought.

anyone else notice that even though CHI/MIA/NJ etc were options but not threats so much for LBJ up and to the point where it became more likely in some peoples eyese that he would actually leave?

now the assumption he leaves is higher, the ny talk has been done a lot so there is a need to make it seem like ny is ot the most likely place not called cle.

i still think the media thinks its ny, they just want to make it exciting. i mean come on...NJ?

Good point man. It's all bullshyt really. Typical mass media hype. In a way, it could be bad news for the Knicks meaning he might just wind up staying. Otherwise, I think NY is sitting pretty right about now and ESPN especially doesn't want to admit that for whatever reasons. Can't see LeBron spurning the Cavs for any other place than NY.

Aw damnit. Why can't anything happen around our team without Bulls trolls getting involved.

Can we have one LeBron thread where Bulls trolls are allowed and another where they get BANNED on entry? That sort of segregation system would be great.

There's a thin line between love and hate. They just love to hate the Knicks. One day they'll come out of the closet, join the bandwagon and become Knicks fans.

Capn'O wrote:Can we have one LeBron thread where Bulls trolls are allowed

You mean the Bulls Board ?

I guess the Knicks Board.

I don't read comments from Bulls fans on the Knicks Board but it's always funny to read the Bulls Board and their own Lebron threads. I thought there were homers on the Knicks Board but Bulls fans beat us easily. They're definitely worse than us. There are 10 Lebron threads on the first page of their board. My favorite is "LeBron's "team" seen wearing Bulls gear...". If you read the Bulls Board, they're going to sign Lebron and then trade Deng/Hinrich for Bosh and Ray Allen will sign for the minimum and Phil Jackson will leave the Lakers to be their head coach ! LOL

Also hilarous...

You know, you'll have to excuse them since as of 4 days ago it was a 2 horse race and now they're reading tea leaves and not quite sure how to do it yet.

Psyched for this whole pile of nonsense to be over with and I am feeling pretty good about its conclusion right now.
