You know Walsh likes Isiah right? Indiana Pacers? I'm not sure why everyone thinks Isiah should be judged solely on the Marbury era.

Some Isiah apologists still breathing I see.

This is what I judge Isiah on:

The problem with Isiah is that he goes for players who have attitude problems, IQ problems, motivation problems or other problems and thinks he can fix them since hes from the streets yo.

From Marbury, Francis, Randolph, Curry, Crawford, Quentin, Woods, Baker, Tim Thomas, Jerome James, Maurice Taylor, so on and so forth.

While Donnie, and even Layden, go for more high character/high IQ guys who may not have as much upside but are more likely to reach their potentials and play the team game.

Theres no doubt Isiah would have picked Lance Stephenson this year. My guess is he would have picked Jennings last year but who knows where we would have been picking if he still ran the team.

Basically Isiah picks alot of thugs and/or unmotivated guys and thinks he can turn their lives around and realize their potential. Thing is he didnt help any of them and actually made them worse.

It's not just that.

It's the Curry trade. The Jerome James signing. The Jared Jeffries signing. The Francis trade. The Anucha case.

Even if we excuse the Marbs move, he has done plenty of other things that should not give him a free pass nor a 2nd chance.

If we want to take a risk on a guy, give H20 a shot.

He traded for Marbury. So he doesn't have anyone else to blame for that but himself.

And 99.9% of Knicks fans LOVED LOVED LOVED that trade at the time. Nobody knew what a cancer Starbury would turn out to be.

You are WAY WAY WAY overstating that number. I HATED that trade. Many people looked at the picks that were given up for a guy that was clearly not a "franchise" talent, even then, and hated that deal.

They are now saying on the show that the Miami Herald is telling him that FIU is going to have a press conference in an hour... but that the Herald doesnt know what its about yet.

But it would seem that this is exactly what it is about...

Only 9 of those 32 players he acquired are still in the NBA. So much for the supposed youth movement he brought to the Knicks.

I think he was talking about Isiah Thomas, which made me CSTM (Chuckle Silently To Myself).

As long as Isiah Thomas is a "power broker" (in the fashion of World Wide Wes) behind the scene and limited to a consultant on the draft, I would be happy to see him back. Just keep him away from the President and General Manager spots. He should have not real power within the organization. He should just use his shadiness in an advisory role.

I know for a fact that he wants back in the NBA as a GM (in an interview as a college coach), but that just shouldn't happen (the GM part).
It's hard being a Knicks fan...

You think Isiah's ego would take being a behind the scenes guy? This guy is a career snake. He wants back in and he wants back in badly. He will do whatever it takes.

Does anyone else think Dolan grew up a Heat/Bulls/Pacers/Celtics fan and is doing this on purpose?

I hope he doesn't turn into the Bobby Petrino of basketball. And for the record, I really, really hate Bobby Petrino.....

I don't think I'll be here to see it.

If Isiah comes back, I am done. For good. And I imagine many more will be too.

Great plan jackass......

Chris Paul is not a free agent. You can't deliver him. Now STFU and GTFO.

I 100% agree. I will be done with the NBA if this happens. I dont care who he thinks he can get. He can go f himself.

But I think things would have gone different if Marbury was never here, if we had a quality PG/team leader like we thought we had. That's my opinion.
