Even though you have almost 30 million tied up in another PG for the next 2 seasons?

Yep. That contract can get traded by next year if it has already been shipped 5 times. The Wizards picked Wall when they had Arenas. Why pass on the BPA because u have a washed up PG taking up your money for 2 years?

Because you can grab a Forward in Williams at 1 and then grab a PG like Knight or Walker at 4. Start Baron for 2 year and have them take over and you still have a best scorer in the draft on your team in Williams.

AnAnd who said you cant do vice versa? This draft has forwards out the woodwork. And Williams is gonna slide. Minnie already drafted Wesley Johnson last year and Utah already has AK47 so they can still get Williams at 4, which they shouldn't because the NBA is Center depleted and Kanter will give you an edge in the future. As a rebuilding team the most important two spots to start with, which we should all know as Knicks fans, is Center and PG. Those are the anchors for success in this form of creating a contender. Baron can mentor Kyrie until he gets shipped like Arenas did with Wall. If their smart they trade the 4th and IDK Jamison for the Wizards 6th and 18th and let them take Williams and then you take Kaner and get a SF later in the round.

The cavs need a small forward...when you said this draft has forwards out the woodwork please explain because I see no quality 3's in this draft besides Williams. This is a PG driven draft with a few quality overseas big man. But actually scoring wings...i see none except for williams IMO

You don't draft for need with the 1st overall pick in the NBA.

You take BPA and that is Kyrie Irving. He is CP3 mold, not saying he will be as good, but he will be a future top PG. And Kemba/Knight are not that good. Kemba is not a PG. In my opinion his future is a legit scoring/6th man threat off the bench.

You go Irving and hope Kanter is there at 4.

Irving, Hickson, Varejao, Kanter would be one helluva core.

I guess im just not that high on irving I think he will be a good pro I just don't think he will be can't miss...I think Kemba will have just as good of a career. I may be wrong thats what I believe and I don't want to risk losing out on Williams because of his unique ability to put the ball in the hoop in many different ways.

I understand you don't draft on need per say. But when the draft a position heavy like it is with PG you can grab position you need and they have the luxary of 2 picks in the top 4. How is kemba and different from the D Rose, John Wall, and Russel Westbrook mode. You can't call kemba a 6 man when he has there athleticism and ability to score and Kemba had a better college career then all 3 of those players.

Irving, Hickson, Varejao, Kanter...nice core is right...but you still missing the one go to superstar that can get you a bucket in an ISO situation late in a game...I believe Williams will be that...but again that is my opinion.

The cavs need EVERYTHING  And theres guys outh there at 3 that are good like Jan Vesley, Kawhi Leanard, and Marcus Morris. I just feel they need to get the two most important positions and thats PG and C and why not get the best of those two which is Kanter and Irving.

I'm not saying your thinking is totally off I just differ a little. My thought process is get the best scorer in the draft and then a PG. I have confidence that they have a good 4 and 5 already with Hickson and Vareajeo. I need to see more of a Kanter before I lock him up as a sure thing.

I'm with you basically, except I dont know if Kanter will fall that far. But yea if you can get Kyrie and a Center, perferably Kanter you do that.

And its not like the Cavs are going to instantly be one of the best teams in the league now regardless of who they pick. If they are lucky they'll be like the Wizards were this past season (probably not as good though). Point being they'll be back in the lottery and next years draft will be SWIMMING with high potential SFs, most of whom I like better than Williams.

Exactly. If they draft Irving and Kanter and then suck and get a top 5 pick they can grab Barnes or Jones the following year. Who will be better than Williams. I don't think Kanter would go that low either unless Toronto wanted him bad.

I disagree. I think Varejao is an overrated flopper. My philosophy is get a leader and then get a scorer. Irving can be a leader and a scorer.

Kyrie Irving.

Here's why:

1) They're not taking a Big Man when they have 2 Forwards who are promising, cheap, and still young/developing.

2) They need a future PG Baaaaaaaaaadly. Baron will be gone soon, and Sessions is more of a backup and scorer than facilitator. Also with a PG heavy Eastern Conference that are young and quick (Rose, Wall, Nelson, Augustin, Deron, etc)...they need to fill that hole and the Top of the 2011 Draft is PG heavy.

BAF 1.0 - Wizards: Year 2

SG: Evan Fournier (28) / Evans (20) / Dotson
SF: Gordon Hayward (36)/ Delly (12) / Dudley
PF: Kevin Love (36) / Frye (12) / Ellenson
C: Pau Gasol (32) / Noah (16) / Felicio

Irving > Knight
Williams = Kanter = Jonas = Vesely

You take Irving because he is the best.

only the cavs would be dumb enough to do this

you take the damn best player in the draft (irving, easily) and then grab the next bpa at 4.. the team sucks, you dont draft for need

if they get kyrie (the obvious move, youd be a complete moron not to take him, again for the 2nd time), and then kanter at 4 or maybe slide up a pick or 2 to grab him if he is going to be gone, you will have a future star pg and a will be legit 7 footer with a boatload of potential to get that franchise back on track.. that combo could be scary in 3-4 years

Kyrie Irving

Cavs are hoping that Williams slips to #4, otherwise they are going for a big. There is also a chance that they trade the #4 pick. They already made Memphis an offer for Rudy Gay, so they might concentrate to get a forward via trade/free agency. I´m sure that they go for BPA here and that is Kyrie Irving.

^^^Thank you for making the counting later on much easier (by making your pick bolded). :D

Now if I can just get the rest of these jokers to do the same I might actually not have to work to tabulate the votes tonight.
