How do we have a board full of people trying to convince themselves that TD can be our starting PG turning up their nose at Jamal Crawford?

It's freaking insane...

Dude's an X factor. We need as much as those as we can get at this point. If he can catch fire one game against the Heat in the playoffs, put up 40 points, win us a game, it'd be worth all the bad defense and hucks he'll send up in games during the regular season.

I'm not a big fan of him, but I do think he'd be ammo and energy off the bench.. he has the Woodson connection.. IF he decided to come for so little $, I think it would be big to have another person that can score.

Not sure he's worth the youth being reported though, and doubt he'd sign here with the offers Hawks are likely to get

it has to be a s and t

and i dont see why atl helps ny out

If they are going to lose him anyway, they might as well get something in return -- that's probably the Hawks' train of thought.

I would love this move. I see a team that can drop 110. And have a defensive plug in the middle to stop the easy buckets that have killed us.

And we still would have a exception and some young players.

On top of it JC would be willing to take less? Bring him in. This would be a excellent move.

Bring back the physical game and send the softies home.

We just don't need Crawford. Yeah we can get him for cheap but we don't really need his offense and his defense isn't gonna help.

Douglas, Walker, and Balkman for Crawford?

Id think about it pretty hard honestly.

WHY WHY WHY

He was a stand up guy and clutch on occasions but he has horrible shot selection and needs the ball to be effective.

Oh how quickly people forget. I remember all the complaining on this board when he would dribble around for 20 seconds only to jack up a contested 3.

Before all the developments (chandler, paul,Howard) I would've put my head in the oven if we brought back Crawford... now things have changed... the direction of the team has changed and you got to look at how these guys will work "on the floor" Not all the personal grudges and dislikes about certain players. A crawford signing with the way our backcourt looks right now would be a godsend if we plan on making playoff noise.

I think Amar'e and Melo don't wanna play 40+ minutes a night.

When one sits down, someone needs to step up the scoring, and stabilize the offense.

Crawford can do that.

If he is willing, I welcome him back.

Why don't we take this idea/package to detroit for Stuckey ? They have Knight so they don't need him anymore and we actually NEED a PG ?

I'd take this deal if I was Atlanta.
