Ian Begley talking to Kay on ESPN saying he's not sure but he thinks he didn't take a piece of the 1.7 and is actually getting the vet. min.

Also said the money is only subtracted if he was claimed through amnesty and that anything he gets as a FA is on top of the Laker money.

I hate his reporting...says the knicks are interested in every player so if one hits he thinks he is the first to break the story.

No, that would work out to be almost exactly what the rest of the mini-MLE is. 1.6 x 2 = 3.2.

Ian Begley just said on ESPN radio that he didnt think it was for the MMLE.
