Emerson and Lake are dead since 2016. The video walls we are building will be live footage of them from an old concert while Palmer plays the drums with his tribute band from what I understand.

From the beginning is a great song. I used to play a terrible acoustic version of it once in a while on my guitar. I got a call from an old friend out of the blue who asked if I was Interested. Well... yeah. Duh. I figured it would be a cool experience. I'm gonna be dead tired though because I haven't slept. I have to be up in 3.5 hours to go do this. Power nap time.

Oh wow, that does sound interesting. Never heard of that before.

I didn’t know that Greg Lake also died. That’s a bummer. I did see some videos of him playing in recent years before his death and he didn’t look that good. RIP.

Give us the review when you get the chance.

Holy Shyt bro!!! Fuggin amazing day! Carl Palmer is a douchebag but, what a fugging amazing show. I got paid to be there and see the show! He's phenomenal drummer. I had the time of my life! I'm in another realm right now. Drum solo into From the beginning and then followed by Lucky man at the end of the show. Hour and forty minutes no intermission. I sat wherever I wanted to. Backstage was sick. I watched the whole band up there on those screens I helped put together. I'll never forget this day ever.

He's a dick bag though. Hung out with him backstage for a bit. He was a stale loaf of bread. Didn't thank any of us for helping set everything up and then taking it down. No happy holidays or any kind words really. I told him the show was amazing...he said.... yeah. I didn't even want to take pics with him or anything he was such a douche. I walked away from him after a bit.

The show and the experience was awesome though. His roadies thanked me a million times for the job I did. We were hanging and laughing and doing Bugs bunny quotes and telling funny life stories. Two of them were really cool to hang out with. Everyone else on his crew were sorta dicks. I spent 14 fugging hours at that theater. He was a dick for the entire time.

All in all though... I wouldn't change it for the world. Great interesting experience and such a fun time. I'm exhausted and can't sleep from the adrenaline rush. Trying to drink myself to sleep right now.

Great you had a great time, sucks that CP was a sort of a dbag.

That's the time where you say under your breath, but loud enough for people to hear, but not so loud it's clearly you "Gee, it's a shame that the assh*le of the trio lived"

Cool shyt. Deftones are great too. I listen to any and all music genres but .. today's rap loses me most of the time. I'm old school 80s 90s rap fan. I listen to everything though. Self taught myself as well. Multiple instruments. I take disco songs and make them acoustic rock songs. Old 80s pop songs too. Some of today's pop too. I love playing pumped up kicks and I can't feel my face in the acoustic. Music makes life better. I'm also into much harder shyt too like Corrosion Of Conformity. Circle Jerks. Ministry. Iron maiden. Etc etc. Hall and Oates too. You name it.

Keep learning and just play until it hurts. Then rest.

Thanks, that's what I'm trying to do. I think i did a lot of damage to my wrists from weight lifting over the last several years so it makes it difficult but i love the instrument so much that i want to keep at it. That's pretty cool that you flip disco songs into acoustic music, I used to do hip hop production so I've always dabbled with different instruments but mastering the electric guitar is one of my life bucket list goals.

I only listen to rap from the 90s-00s. Anything after that doesn't interest me, especially the stuff nowadays, that's for the younger folks

Speaking of Deftones, I've really dug the work that their lead singer Chino Moreno is doing with Shaun Lopez from Far for their side project band, Crosses:

^this is tough, i like the blend between electronic/synth elements with the guitar. I think their album comes out early next month

Got into Bad Omens recently, some songs remind me of Sempiternal era Bring Me The Horizon, others remind me of newer BMTH but with better vocals.

Heavier song:

Cleaner songs:

So many good songs, good vocals, etc.

I saw them live opening for A Day To Remember and they were so good live I had to look into them more. So good.

I was on the subreddit for shoegaze looking for something new to listen to, someone posted a thread about them a year or so back. They're an indy band from Southern Cali. I like 2 or 3 of their tracks I've heard, some of their other stuff is kinda rough

Has anyone here watched the Meet Me In the Bathroom documentary? I think it's showing in select theaters in NY, not on streaming yet.

It's about the early 2000s indie rock surge, Strokes, Yeah Yeahs, Interpol, etc.

Right? The SN is confusing but makes sense. :o

I would have took one for the team. I'm in prison watching the Knicks win a championship in an orange jumpsuit with a smile on my face. Team tank and team villain trying to get me bail money and a pardon from the governor. Sacrifice is fulfilling when it matters.

I bet it would be easier to get closer to Dolan at one of his concerts! Wait... that's the answers! Green Arrow and KTh20 are ya with me? I need a serial killer and a lunatic with me to pull this off. GA...bring your chloroform and the white van. KTh20 you have to watch videos of Thibs and Randle on a loop until we get there. I'll wait outside with the van running. Operation Kill da wabbit would be a success.
