I would keep Aldrich & Tyler just to keep some size in the frontcourt because I don't trust a FULL season of Amare or Kenyon to stay healthy AT ALL. IMO CJ Leslie is getting cut so the last spot might boil down to CDR vs. Murry UNLESS... a trade is in the works (which I can't see anyone being eligible to trade right now except Amare and no one wants him).

It would be kind of f***ked up if CDR gets Toure's spot because he talked about why he signed and accepted the Knicks camp invite; he said it was loyalty. TMurry said after game 2, Woodson came up to him and said he wanted him in NYK's training camp. TMurry ultimately chose NYK over MIA's training camp. Woody likes defense so Murry has a GOOD shot in making the team over CDR.

01 - Melo
02 - Tyson Chandler
03 - Amare
04 - JR Smith
05 - Andrea Bargnani
06 - Ray Felton
07 - Iman Shumpert
08 - Pablo Priginoni
09 - Tim Hardaway, Jr.
10 - Metta World Peace
11 - Kenyon Martin
12 - Beno Udrich
13 - Jeremy Tyler
14 - Cole Aldrich

15 - Toure Murry
16 - CDR
17 - CJ Leslie

Damn, if TMurry is cut that WOULD be real messed up. If there's no trade it has to be him or CDR though. Hmmmm....

I agree. I'm surprised that Bill Walker isn't on an NBA roster. I love his game.

Please keep that one trick pony off the team, other than 3's he had nothing, he like forgot that every shot doesn't have to be a trey!
If you have no critics you'll likely have no success.

Chris Copeland reminded me of him when he was with us. Could be a good pick up, I bet hes better then James White.
Go Knicks!

When you look at that list it just shows how deep this team is. When guys like Beno and Kenyon are the 10th and 11th man followed by talented young guys it's impressive.

I like Murry and CDR... and if CDR can't score any more, then the roster spot should definitely go to Murry.
It's hard being a Knicks fan...

I'd like to see more from Toure Murray, he didn't impress me in summer league, and his numbers in the d-league aren't impressive either. Why is everyone so high on him?

Tyler will get cut unfortunately because of the injury. Aldrich makes it.

CJ Leslie makes it because although I know nothing about him I think NY sees something special in him.

Comes down to Murry vs CDR and it's honestly a toss up. Could get CDR and put Murry in our D-League team.

Because we overrate everyone. All of us including myself are guilty of this.

ROFL, remember John Shurna?

Shurna was the shooter right? If so, at least he could do one thing right. Most camp invites can't do anything.

He was known as a shooter, but couldn't make jack **** in the games he played in.
My lifetime better have a Knicks championship.

I agree. TMurry reminds me of a young Shump and our future at Shooting guard will be grandfathered down to him when he's ready. Also him proving himself will give us an excellent trading chip by next season. This will help with getting that one other star we need when all the salaries are taken off the books.

This kid needs a shot, Cole Aldrich has NEVER proven anything. I actually think TMurry is a better player right now before working with Dave Hoopla:
http://nymag.com/daily/sports/2012/09/k ... oting.html

Dave Hoopla is/has done some amazing things with Smith, Copeland, Lin, Shumpert, and let's not forget Melo won the scoring title for the first time ever.

TMurry can be that diamond in the rough Grunwald has been so famous for.

WILL KNICKS KEEP A BIG MAN? Woodson also said the Knicks could keep one of the big men they invited to camp on non-guaranteed deals. That means center Cole Aldrich, forward Josh Powell and forward Ike Diogu will get serious looks. As far as the guards in camp, Woodson said, "perimeter-wise, we're pretty set." ... Guards Chris Smith and Toure' Murry looked good during the portion of the scrimmage the media was allowed to watch. Raymond Felton was quick and active, and Beno Udrih knocked down two mid-range shots. C.J. Leslie hit a long-range jumper on one end of the floor and blocked a shot on the other end in one sequence. Woodson said the offense is ahead of the defense at this point in camp.

Ike Diogu looked masterful in those clips, and Cole Aldrich has some nice stuff too. Would love to see them both on the final roster.

 Not sure. He tweeted that he wanted to play for the Heat. Don't think they called him though. :-?

why do some posters still think you can keep a player and put him in the D League while not having him count against our roster?

I don't think anyone is being overrated here. It is what it is. None of these guys will be very important players for the Knicks, at least not this year. And no one is saying they will be. But there is some talent amongst them, and people are just simply trying to figure out who is worth a roster spot based on what little we know. Wish I could be present during some of these practices.

For what it's worth, I like Murry. 6'7" PG with real PG skills. Plays defense. Seems like a good kid. Won't be surprised to see him make the team. Mike Woodson personally invited him to camp.
