2015 plan may go out the window in the next two weeks, even if we don't get Rondo. I also think he's tremendously overrated.

That is the difference a healthy Rondo makes. This BoBo Rondo isn't better than Felton.

It would be pretty desperate to make a strong push for him now, unless we are getting him at a steep discount.

don't you think he is at discount now though

when healthy he's wracking up triple doubles in the playoffs and running a team of difficult vets

right now he's coming off injury, playing with terrible teammates and on a roster he knows he's gonna leave. No wonder he's playing badly.

The Celtics got better immediately after he was hurt last season because he was pounding the ball too much. The Celtics offensive in the rondo era has, I believe, always been below average but they had a great defense throughout. Rondo is a good defender when healthy no question, but when a team can go under every single screen without a problem, it makes it incredibly difficult to run an efficient offense with him on the floor.

Also I am at the point where I don't think adding Rondo would fix all the problems on this team and make us contenders. I'd rather wait till 2015 till we can sign Rondo outright, then trade our assets for 1.5 years of Rondo

You just reached that point?

Next year yeah, if Woody is gone and we sign good bench guys.

I don't see any scenario in which we get Rondo and Jeff Green tho. We'd have to take back Wallace and Humphries and give up picks for that

That's a suck ass team.

Well this is assuming rondo is back to being rondo.

Rondo
Jr (would rather have him off the bench honestly)
Green

Melo at the 4
Tyson

I think that team is damn good especially In the East.

If playing at their potential then they can win a chip.

Rondo can get the team out in transition and play perimeter defense which are two of our biggest problems

That's funny

That team is horrid.

Point. Blank. Period.

I'm pretty sure Rondo would be a disaster over here.

Rondo's last three games:

19 points, 10 assists, 6 rebounds, 3 steals
8 points, 11 assists, 9 rebounds, 2 steals
13 points, 8 assists, 8 rebounds, 3 steals

If that's Rondo when he's "done", I'll gladly take that.

I don't think they know how.

Not their fault, they had their protection talk from Paul George

I'd trade Amare, Felton and Timmy Jr. for Bass, Green and Rondo....I'd deal NO DRAFT PICKS

Green, Melo, Tyson, Shump and Rondo....Bass, Kenyon, Spliff, Pablo...etc. I think Woodson would have a real hard time coaching Rondo, but we all know Woody will not be here next season anyway. But IF that crew could get an 8th seed, they'd scare the f*ck out of Indiana in the first round... :D

I agree with you on your current assessment of him. He's getting an extreme amount of pub but I see very little playmaking ability and instead seems to be a good scoring guard off the bench instead of a full time point guard.

Ainge hangs up the phone

Considering the package from the Kings that the Celtics turned down, there's no chance in Hell they trade him to us.
