Reading a bunch of reporters on Twitter saying that Hayward is denying the commitment to the Celtics so he can announce it on his own terms. If thats the case, I've lost a lot of respect for him. I can't imagine how Jazz fans must feel. Denying the report is tugging at the heartstrings of Jazz fans. If you're gonna leave, just do it and dont make a big deal out of it. if he decided on Boston already, he shouldn't deny it now

Don't see the point to all these forwards for Boston.

I think Hayward will be a so-so, modestly bad contract within 2 years. There I said it. He doesn't have the athleticism or jumper to age that well.

One of the prevailing thought processes, listening during the NBA draft was this concept of loading up on interchangeable wings to attack the Cavs. A rotation of Hayward and Tatum backed up by Brown and Crowder has pretty awesome depth.

I just think the C's need an upgrade at SG. They'll have 6 more first rounders to figure that problem out.

and when it comes time for them to get those 2nd contracts the Celtics will either have to pony up a sh*t ton of money in terms of luxury tax, trade them, or let them go

Guys it's a small ball league. Theyre not paying bradley long term at 18m per year. They're going to start Hayward, Brown and Tatum long term. Brown can guard any position and Tatu could guard most 3s or 4s. Hayward can guard 2s or 3s. They're versatile.

Two Boston weaknesses last year were secondary scoring (a 2nd scorer for IT) and bench depth. They still need rebounding support and rim protection but they have so many assets that they can easily address those issues. Ainge is an amazing GM. No question about it. Very jealous.

He's way more athletic than you think. Look how much he gets to the line. He's legit... esp in a good system.
