Re: PG Thread: Excellent loss
I can't front. When Phil gave Kornet that 2-way deal so fast, I thought he was bugging and Kornet was a scrub.
But this dude is a legit rotation player and he is really developing nicely. He is not just a shooter. He can pass, protect the rim by going straight up even if he doesn't block the shot, and most importantly...he is unafraid!
Dude was really frustrating Embiid out there. I like him. Kudos to Phil and Gaines for that.

Lmao knox did pull off the double step back but he made sure to get the dribble in there so it’s not a travel I think.

On that last shot Knox took his man out of the equation, Kornet was fighting for the rebound, Dotson was across the court, Butler was doing a great job denying Frank, the only shot they had was the one that they took.
I guess if muddy saw Dot he could've tried that crosscourt pass but dangerous pass to try.

Slowly but surely!!!! I hate to say it but “trust the process”
Process of elimination? Like THJ, Kanter & Burke were eliminated by their own poor play so playing the kids was the only option left?

Please just sit THJ for a few games. No reason not to. Actually open up PT for the guys who need it. Good tank loss to say the least.

it's definitely a play you have to watch multiple times. sometimes it's a travel and sometimes it isn't. knox's looked legal to me.

The game should cement the turning point to making Knox the go to guy. Find a way to remove Timmy.

Tim Hardaway Jr. should never see the court again if I were in control
We played without EGO today and that is how it should be
We cannot do that with Trashaway and Kanter

I'm gonna tell you the shot that had me really thinking about Durant when he was younger.....the three Knox had wide open, but wasn't the shot he wanted. He felt a miss, and didn't want to just miss. He eventually shot it and missed, and I'm like "that's that KD thinking right there".

Re: PG Thread: Excellent loss
The team was unselfish, they all passed more and played more together. No Kanter and no Hardaway, and more Frank, and Kornet all helped with this. Knox is developing his game so nicely. Kornet is not really a veteran, he's only in his second year, just out of the G league on a 2-way, and if he keeps improving, he'll be a really good role player off the bench. He frustrated Embiid because he shoots from way out, and Embiid is NOT comfortable running out there. That really messed with the Philly D. Overall, this is exactly the kind of game we all wanted before the season started:
Competitive, well fought.
The kids all showed development and played well
The coaching and substitutions were good.
The "New York" play to purposely miss the FT at the end nearly worked
And, of course, we got the tank win. We got everything we wanted.
We also didn't get some of the things we don't want:
Timmy chucking
Kanter clogging
Tray trashing the O and the D
A very fine, inspiring game! Yay!

I think mudiays drive and kick game helps knox, even with all the turnovers.

I can see Mudiay returning, not saying I want him to. he actually has pg skills, just cant get the mindset and skills in sync.
