id agree with those ten but honestly Id have to put Curry a lot lower
9 probably

on another team is he as dangerous? I dont think so. How much separation between him and Lillard is there right now honestly? Besides the winning.

1) Durant
2) Giannis
3) Kawhi
4) Curry
5) Harden

On a side note there is no way I have Russ in my
Top 10. 12-14 seems like a reasonable spot for him.

It’s truly disrespectful. I’ve seen ppl say he benefitted from Mike dantoni as if he wasn’t carrying the rockets when Kevin Mchale was coaching..

All I know is, once Durant and Kyrie are Knicks, their places on any top 5,10 or 20 list plummet. They'll be lucky to be called top 50.

kd
giannis
beard
lebron
steph
kawhi
AD
PG13
--------
Lillard
Kyrie
Westbrook

the last 3 are fighting for 9 and 10 right now in the playoffs.

after this group, i haave

Klay
Kemba
Butler
Simmons
Mitchell
jokic

no particular order.

i dont get how people have dipo over lillard. lillard is probably the best PG this year behind steph and harden, if you wanna say harden is a point guard. Now, if you say Dame gets swept every playoffs, fine i get that. but dipo didnt show anything dame doesnt. Also dames defens is underrated imo. 1st two games vs OKC he played pretty good D on Russ. I didnt see game 3 yet, so that game is not considered in that ranking.

Kyrie is really turning it on in the playoffs and had the best year of his career, kyrie is someone who could be way higher when hes in the right situation.

Westbrook is a terrific player, but i value stuff that westbrook doesnt have, like the ability to adapt and adjust on the fly. which westbrook clearly cant. he plays the same way every time. if he hits his shots, hes great if he doesnt hit the jumpers, hes forcing way too much, so that it hurts his team. and i also think triple doubs are overrated. but thats a different debate.

thats just my personal opinion. id put kawhi and AD higher on the list if they wouldnt sit out that many games.
im bout dat action boss

Respectfully I think this is a wild take. The man had a .640 TS% and a .604 eFG%. He shot .437 from 3PT on 11.7 APG. In 94 playoff appearances he has averaged 26/6.4/5.4 on 46/41/90 FG% splits. I understand that his last game he did not have a strong performance, but he is still capable of putting up 38-15-7 with 8 3s which he just did Game 1 of the First Round. I just don't believe you will find another 10 players capable of doing that once, much less with his consistency.

thats fair but I wonder if his supporting cast was less if he would have such numbers

i think Durant, PG, etc all would put up their numbers and win shares regardless

but its too fine a point perhaps

Curry is a generational-level talent for sure

What is pretty wild is this. Last year they showed stats when Curry was off the floor with injuries and the numbers impacting Durant and Klay specifically were staggering. In games that Curry was not playing Klay's eFG% was 14% worse and Durant's was 8% worse. I still fully believe that Durant is the best player on the team but Curry seems to be the straw that stirs this all together.

That's absolutely ridiculous. I'd take him over Harden no questions asked, and I'm a huge Harden guy (I think he should get MVP over Giannis).

He isn't asked to do much on this stacked team, but IMO there has never been a better offensive player.

I’m inclined to agree. I think what Draymond does for that team is understated in terms of freeing curry to play off the ball and not have to focus on distributing so much. With KD also able to easily make plays Curry is free to literally focus on scoring. He doesn’t have the burden of a Lebron, Giannis, KD, Harden, AD, Kawhi, Dame( off the top of my head) and probably more.

Thompson as always doesn't get enough love here in my opinion. He should really be considered a top 10 player by now. It should be clear to more people.

I certainly have him and Oladipo ranked higher than some people here and I don't get the love for Simmons or Chris Paul. They're not top 20 players to me.

Most shocking: Steph curry is also still underrated. Seriously guys, Thompson and Curry play in the best team possibly ever assembled. They created it. They are their motor. So many people cry foul when Durant joins them because they're oh so good, then forget to give them recognition for their success. It's a crime.

This is not fair. He's shown enough, has carried them long enough, still does, clearly could carry much more and consequently I wouldn't trade him for any of those other players because he's that good. He's directly responsible for one of the greatest teams ever built and hasn't fallen off one bit. He was top 5 in scoring this year, basically tied with #3. I sound like a homer but this is insanely inaccurate imo. Where does the hate come from?

I'm not sure if someone who isn't sure whether Curry belongs in the top 10 anymore has really given this enough thought - to respectfully put it mildly.

curry is a winning player and plays the team game much better than some of the other candidates

but Id trade Curry for Gianias, for harden {actually I wouldn't because I hate Harden so wouldn't touch him}, AD, Lebron, KD, even Kawahi. Perhaps for Embid too. its not an obvious choice for any of those guys but I think each is a bigger impact player. Though GSW should never trade Curry for anyone clearly.

Id also wonder if at this point Curry is actually better than Kyrie or Lillard in all fairness.
Would Kyrie be just as impactful on the Warriors? Lillard?
