This is a nice move. Mills and Perry have earned some props for bringing in Miller and now Blatt. They deserve blame for Fizdale but realizing the error and bringing in Miller and now Blatt more than makes up for it. Plus they have not committed to any long-term contracts so I am happy with how they are keeping our flexibility.

Houston already struck me as someone who might make Mills a little jelly or uneasy. They have very similar baseline personalities except Houston is not used car salesmen slimey and he has the built in respect from having been a very good nba player, which is something Mills will never have.

Mills and Perry's contracts have team options that Dolan will get to decide whether to pick up or go in another direction and not have to pay them at the end of the season.

This just reeks of Mills desperation and I think it means he's staying around after the season. I love that he's also already undermining Miller by doing this. Can Blatt even connect with NBA players? I know he had a good record with the Cavs but it be tough to screw up a team with Lebron on it.

LeBron was a diva. He didn't like Blatt and made sure he got fired. Ty Lue was LeBron's puppet. Also, Blatt got fired while the Cavs had a 30-10 record (that's a team on pace for 60 wins).

funny thing is, Dolan HAS tried to hire Jerry West on Multiple occasions. West spoke about this last season...said Dolan was offering him whatever he want but, he loves the West Coast.

Blatt more than likely is here to help with the process of hiring a new President. Mills is a good guy, but not a basketball guy, and he'll be moved back to the MSG side of things, especially with the coming split of MSG operations.
