That's a dreadful contract, take into account that the salary cap is either going to decline or stay flat and that Mitch would be taking up 18-20% of it.

Capella was traded for pennies, everyone knew the Rockets wanted to move him and the return was awful because the value of that type of player has plummeted. The trend has been established, non-star centers should be well under $10 million, and with teams in the future potentially running more zone a player with his skillset is gonna get phased out of big contracts soon.

it's not a dreadful contract at all. Less than 20M per season for a player that impacts winning. That is what Mitch does: he plays good defense is a high efficiency offensive player

The Rockets traded Capela b/c he wasn't a fit w/ Westbrook and the way they wanted to play. They wanted to play 4, 5-out on the perimeter which they couldn't do w/ Capela and Westbrook being non-threats shooting
