Spurs will be on a second night of a back to back after a tough loss to the Suns. No excuses for losing this one.

Like I said, lots of negativity, but this made me smile and respect him a little more.

Humbling. Same here, makes me like him more. Could be arrogant and douchy like Randle but he's being the consummate professional instead.

I saw a video where Thibs acknowledged that RJ was sick and coudn't practice, so he said he wasn't calling him out specifically. i'm not sure what's going on, but in the past week, this board has devolved into full panic mode and I'm thinking the Knicks coaching staff is beginning to catch it from us, too.

I've got a weird feeling the lineup change is Obi for Mitch.. At the end of the Denver blowout, he gave Obi and Randle an extended run and it was garbage time but the Knicks got the lead down from like 30 to 14 and Obi ended up a +2. Maybe that was just coincidental and i'm reading too much into blowout stuff, but for some reason to me it was noteworthy that Thibs stuck with that grouping for as long as he did in that 4th quarter :dontknow:

I'd also love to see this. I'm not sure whether the problem is Mitch is fat or if he still just hasn't recovered fully, but either way, he's not the Mitch we knew and loved. Obi is a joy to watch and I'd love to see how this works.

If anything like that, Knicks twitter would cream.

I see it being Fournier to the bench for IQ. Gives him interchangeable lineups to use, including moving Grimes/Deuce to the rotation.

PG: IQ
SG: Burks
SF: Barrett
PF: Randle
C: Robinson

Bench

PG: Rose
SG: Grimes/IQ
SF: Burks/Fournier
PF: Obi
C: Noel

I know Randle is the bull of the team, but cutting his minutes by like 5 minutes to give to Obi would do wonders. Same for Barrett if he's getting lost and not scoring well.

Would work if IQ was a decent PG or could get going north-south, but he isn't and can't that frequently.
Maybe next year, as he's better at both this year than last year.

I'm gonna keep saying it

Benching Kemba was the right move, but not for Burks

Rose should be starting, bench one of Burks/Fournier/RJ, and just manage his minutes to 24 or so a game.
BaF Lakers:

Nikola Topic/Grayson Allen
Shaedon Sharpe/Malik Beasley
Keldon Johnson/Jett Howard
Cam Whitmore/Taylor Hendricks
Alex Sarr/Kyle Filipowski

Bench: Clint Capela/Bojan Bogdanovic/Leonard Miller

Gotta start somewhere. What would you have done?

I definitely wouldn’t have been so quick to announce that he’s just out the rotation. A few rest days would have sufficed, while we are trying different rotations. But whatever I’ll continue to say that he was the scapegoat. The problem is vey much still here, matter of fact it’s more obvious now.

I stopped feeling like this after the team showed me who they are. I don’t expect consistency.

Oh I don’t have no faith in them winning the next 2 at all, I’m just speaking numbers wise. The next 2 can get us back in the fight

I think money talks at this point... Fournier makes the 2nd most money on the team and he's only been here for a quarter of a season and his numbers have ticked up recently. I don't think Leon & co. would let him bench Fournier this early IMO. Maybe i'm wrong, but I just don't see a President who comes from an agency background allowing something that has such poor optics happen this early...

I think there's more writing on the wall that Mitch's days are numbered... No extension was offered, we've gotten lit up by stretch 5's the past 2 games, Noel performed admirably in Mitch's absence last year and one of the first people Thibs criticized when he came into the job was Mitch. I'm just kind of hoping it's Obi because he's earned it. but if I was a betting man i'd say the switch is Noel for Mitch truthfully.

It could be RJ too but I wouldn't recommend that  If people thought the offense was too Randle-centric before... Wait until they put in Grimes for RJ lol

Losing to the Spurs would be pretty embarrassing. This portion of the schedule has a handful of what should be winnable games. Except they're a bunch of clowns that forgot how to play together and with heart.
