We laid them down pretty good too in Philly with OG on board.

The OG effect is no joke. 10-2 is not a fluke. We need another combo guard potentially but this team is legitimately GOOD.

I'm not going to put the Knicks above the Sixers because of one game, sure it's encouraging that the Knicks did so well after the trade but it's just one game. It takes a series of games with all the planning and adjustments that come with it to prove which team is better.

Nets need a full rebuild and could get a haul for Mikal from NYK. This front office works best off nepotism and back channel relationships. Every move and hire seems to be calculated to lead to a related roster move.

Bringing all of Nova’s nba players together on the Knicks may be to pry Mikal loose from the Nets.

Grimes, Fournier, four picks. That’s a haul.

If they get 3 unprotected picks from the Knicks along with a couple of the protected ones and a couple of pick swaps they will have gotten an immense haul of picks from the KD signing and subsequent trades stemming from his departure.

They are not going to build around Bridges in his prime time to make holding onto him worth it, they might as well use him to build as big of a draft future as possible. Sure they can try to find someone other than the Knicks to deal with but I think the Knicks will offer the best package when it's all said and done.

In all seriousness, why would the Bucks trade him? Seems like this would just piss of Giannis.

lol. Thanasis is just a meme imho. Like JR Smith's brother.

Where ever Giannis goes or stays, Thanasis will probably be there as a 15th man.

I keep coming back to this trade

Atlanta by all indications wants to shed serious payroll.

They want Capella 45M over the next 2 off the books.

They want Murray's 100M off the books.

If we were willing to include Mitchell Robinson we could probably get Murray for 1 'lesser to mid tier' FRP.

Grimes, Fournier, Mitchell Robinson and 1FRP for Capela, Murray and AJ Griffin.

Mitchell with his declining 'meager' 13M AAV contract is extremely marketable.

Capela while not Mitchell Robinson is not cooked as that entire team is just not performing well under Quinn. Thibs got IHart playing phenomenal defense, I think Clint would be a pretty decent defender here behind IHart. Clint can be used in a deal this offseason for the big fish trade as well.

Capela also allows IHart to rest/load manage that achilles more too...

I could see this going down… destroys the Laker’s rumored offers imo. Mitch and Grimes are great fits next to Trae. Them getting cap relief and one or two picks is a bonus.

Absolutely destroys their offer in terms of what they want they want to accomplish. If shedding payroll is their high priority our deal gives them tremendous cap flexibility and two young cost controlled players with one who was in the running for DPOY. We then keep our top FRPs for a big fish trade down the road.

I mean the lakers offer without Reaves is pretty darn weak. Now we have seen the Lakers pull off BS trades before so anything is possible but our offer if they don't include Reaves could easily blow theirs out of the water.

I think the Knicks are hesitant with Murray’s fit with this group… not only his play style and defense but also his character… does it gel with what we’re building here? Can it undo the progress we’ve made the last few years?

Could be all part of the negotiating theatre being played out in the media bro.

But we are going to soon find out.

Another supposed rumor....

According to @espn_macmahon
the cost for Tyus Jones to the Knicks would be multiple 2nds. And according to @TimBontemps
the Knicks are eyeing Daniel Gafford. Would a deal of
Sims + EF + WAS 24 + 3 2nds for Jones and Gafford be a win for both teams? Yes or No?

Not buying it bc Tyus is short, not really a combo guard and on an expiring contract

he’s a bench player not a starter (tyus) …I’d love that trade

Mikal aside from being part of the Nova crew is just about the perfect Thibodeaux player and also fit on this current team. He can start at the 2 and back up the 3 and even 4.

We have ZERO actual centers on the team right now.

Plenty of season left but, that iHart injury concerns me tremendously.

I had it myself....it lasted for a couple months and went away....btw in the article it stated that Hart had it last season as well...he actually declined playing for Germany so he could rest the tendon. But it was bothering the entire season...not just the last couple weeks. I think he will be fine ultimately....

It can last weeks months and years. The pain will go away at some point. The recurring part will not. I'm not sure what you do or did for a living when you had it but. He runs and jumps for a living. I am anxiously awaiting to find out how severe it is and how long he will miss.
nothing some peptides couldn’t heal in a couple weeks

Plan A) Mikal Bridges

Plan B) Brogdon

Plan C) Murray & Capela

Plan D) Tyus Jones & Gafford

There's levels to this =) Leon's going to pay market value or he's going to pass. No more NYK premium pricing.
