2 games behind Philly
3 games behind Bucks

This is a very important game.

Also precious revenge game. Dude had 22 rebounds against heat lol.

Heat still trying to gel, this should be a blowout W to the tune 20+ points.

Brunson going for 40, and OG will make Jimmy invisible.

They may not like us, but they will have to respect us.

I was going to make a solo post, with thoughts around this mindset, but I'll reply to yours.

Knicks fans feeling themselves, as we should, but everyone should slow the roll a bit.

The Denver game was an anomaly. It was great the Knicks played great, fired on ALL cylinders, and the game plan executed so well that a Denver team at the end of a 5 game road trip just couldn't answer. Considering Denver has 2 great players and is very well coached, it's an accomplishment.

But, this is Miami, and more importantly, Spolestra, who, trust me, I don't like giving kudos to.

Denver tried to trap Brunson, send a double, and the Knicks swung the ball two passes away to the weakside for 3's (early in the game) and fortunately, Donte and OG were red hot. And this opened up everything else.

The Heat aren't going to allow stuff like this. They just never do. They are going to ID the Knicks weakness on offense and make them work extra hard for every single point.

This will be playoff basketball, since the Heat treat every game with the Knicks like the playoffs. That means the easy 3's won't be there and it's possible that players like OG, Donte get somewhat exposed on offense. That the bench in particular will look REALLY bad, without enough creators. I doubt Grimes or McBride even look halfway decent.

Game will come down to:
Are Brunson and Randle making shots?
Do the Knicks guard the 3 point line against the corpse of Kevin Love?
Do the Knicks manage to not let Bam injure Brunson, Donte or OG?

It'll be a close game.

That f*cking pirate guy probably hits a 3 and the Heat win.

After a game like this, win or lose, everyone will be clamoring for a trade again for the bench, because the playoff preview will expose how much the bench truly sucks.

Yea, I need a beatdown. I hated how we wasted Brunson’s superstar effort during the last playoff series

I think they usually send late doubles and triples and yet somehow also scout his favorite passing lanes and fill them too.

Everything you said is valid.

Especially how Spo is in the science lab cooking up the antimatter for every particle of the Knicks' offense and defense.

Nevertheless, the Heat are still adjusting to adding Terry to their scheme. They're trying to figure things out. They were on a 3 game skid...added a new piece, now they've lost 5 in a row. They're vulnerable right now.

We're getting this W, convincingly.

This is going to be a tough game. Heat will shoot out of their minds in the 1st half but game will become close going into the 4th qtr.

When the media started leaning into Heat culture, it was a wrap for this perception. I will go to my grave believing the Knicks beat themselves more than Miami beat them. They got hot at the right time.

This Heat team, I think has leaned too much into it, too. I don't see the "it" in them. It's not an anomaly that they've lost 5 in a row, potentially even more as they have some tough games next week. The ball movement isn't there, it sticks, their half-court seems wonky (I'm not sure that's the right word, it's hard to describe). They've been blown out of about 10 or so games this season. Like, ugly games, too. My gut is telling me they peaked last year.

Not sure if this is why… but I did purchase MSG stock a month ago.. is me being a minority owner the reason we’re taking off?? Can’t say it’s not the reason why, something to think about

Precious is a player I would like to like, but he is what he is. He is not going to be someone who you fancy as a starting-level guy. He is a really good 2nd-3rd string big guy. Athletic enough to defend multiple positions. Acceptable rebounder. Can steak a block. Can dunk if open. Shades of Ronny Turiaf aka the best french knicks player of all-time.

Why wouldn't you like to like " a really good 2nd-3rd string big guy"? Especially if that guy was a throw in.

I have been spoiled over the years by having our backup center be a player who I could say "well maybe he'd start on another team" because of how good they look in our system. Noel and iHart being the top examples. With Precious -- I really like the person from everything I have heard -- a NY kid etc. He just really is a back-up that just is a back up. That's really valuable for sure and I certainly appreciate him for that -- but the way Thibs abuses his guys I think we need to have very good backups at the 1 and 5. For us he is 3rd string level.

I guess the summary is -- Because of his story I want him to be better than he is. He's still pretty good and I am grateful. I am just greedy.

Well he does have the tools to be much better..I think he's in the perfect position. He's got a coach that fits his style and he doesn't have much pressure due to our overall depth at the center position. I look at him like a project.
